2019 Bevan Cellars Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Library Release Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#133074 750 mL
2019 Bevan Cellars Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Library Release
98 Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is a stunning example of eastern Oakville Cabernet. It's loaded with scents of cassis and red plum and tinged with faint hints of thyme and sage, and it's full-bodied, rich and relatively open-knit. Ripe, plush and layered, gently framed by cedar and vanilla, it's lovely stuff that should drink well for up to two decades.
97 J. D'Angelo - International Wine Report
The 2019 Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a spectacular showing. This immediately releases gorgeous aromas of fresh blackberries, cassis and dark plums that come together with Asian spices, dark chocolate, wild herbs, gravel and iron nuances, which are a signature of this Eastern Oakville site. Full-bodied and remarkably well-structured, with wonderful concentration. It continues to impress as it shows wonderful freshness and depth through the ultra-long finish. While this is already excellent, this certainly displays excellent potential for long term cellaring and should go on to have an even brighter future ahead.
97 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
I loved the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard. This beauty is a great representation of this terroir, with mineral-drenched aromas and flavors of blueberries, iron, chocolate, graphite, and candied violets. Deep, rich, and full-bodied, it’s another monster of a wine from Bevan that stays beautifully balanced and seamless.

2019 Paolo Bea Rosso De Veo Umbria Rosso Sagrantino from Italy

2019 Paolo Bea Rosso De Veo Umbria Rosso
95 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2019 Rosso de Veo is intense, with a burst of dried black cherries, autumnal spices and rubbed sage. This is a dark and brooding vintage for Veo, with depths of ripe red and blue fruit propelled by zesty acidity. Saline minerals saturate, and a primary concentration forms toward the close. It finishes dramatically long and tannic, yet they are round and soft contoured. Licorice and a tart cranberry concentration linger on and on. While labeled as Umbria Rosso, the Rosso de Veo could easily be a Montefalco Sagrantino, filling a happy place in the portfolio that adds a lot of value for lovers of Paolo Bea.

At once juicy and well structured, this may be light-bodied but it has excellent substance and a wealth of slatey minerals that give it wonderful energy in the very clean but slightly off-dry finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Vegan. Drink or hold.

2021 Oddero Barolo Villero Nebbiolo from Italy
#149939 750 mL
2021 Oddero Barolo Villero
98 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2021 Barolo Villero soars from the glass with intensely spiced, balsamic-tinged aromatics. Deceptively medium in body, with superb persistence and class, the 2021 is simply magnificent. Beams of tannin shape the unforgettable, persistent finish. This is another wine that demands patience. The Villero is not an easy wine, rather it is a Barolo that offers a more inward, at times intellectual, expression of Nebbiolo.
Sporting a more transparent ruby red color, the 2021 Barolo Villero is focused and lifted with enveloping aromas of medicinal herbs, fresh redcurrants, dried cranberries, and umami notes of porcini and anise. The palate is vibrant and pure, with fantastic energy and clarity, ripe tannins, refreshing acidity, and a great finish. This one steps things up a notch, and I would scramble to have a few of these in my cellar. Drink 2025-2050.

2021 Patria Avoyelles Red
99 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
Including more Cabernet Sauvignon than Cabernet Franc (it swings back and forth), the 2021 Avoyelles Oakville reveals a dense purple hue as well as sensational aromatics of red, blue, and black fruits, spring flowers, spicy oak, graphite, dark chocolate, and a beautiful earth, forest floor-like character. Full-bodied, concentrated, and ultra-pure, it's borderline perfection and a heavenly bottle of wine that needs 3-5 years of bottle age and will blow you away over the following two decades. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, aged 22 months all in new French oak.
97 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The 2021 Avoyelles is a bruiser, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. Strong, savory and floral notes open first. There's plenty of weight and intensity, but it appears gradually. All the elements are so well balanced in this young, potent Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc blend."

2020 Chateau Pradeaux Bandol Rouge
95 Andreas Larsson - Blindtasted.com
Medium deep garnet with a ruby rim. Fragrant and complex nose, good intensity showing aromas of fine leather, tobacco, wild herbs, sweet cherry, plum and black pepper. Dense and concentrated palate with good proportions, young but ripe tannin and a refreshing backbone of acidity, layered spiciness, savoury fruit and a long lingering finish, great potential.
94 Nicolas Greinacher - Vinous
The 2020 Bandol is a gorgeous rendition from Château Pradeaux, bursting from the glass with pronounced and highly complex notes of molten stems, wild strawberry, licorice and blackcurrant leaf. Made from 95% Mourvèdre and 5% Grenache, the 2020 is medium-bodied yet remarkably vivid, with the whole bunch integrated beautifully and the tannins already rounded into a lovely, textural shape. There is tremendous energy. The 2020 finishes long, fresh and full of beguiling verve, leaving a lasting impression of character and finesse.

2024 Telmo Rodriguez Gaba Do Xil O Barreiro Godello from Spain
#149055 750 mL
2024 Telmo Rodriguez Gaba Do Xil O Barreiro
92 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2024 Gaba do Xil O Barreiro comes from a mild year, with enough rain and lower yields because of problems with fungus. The grapes were healthy when they started picking them the third of September. It fermented and matured in stainless steel with lees for four months without going through malolactic acidity. It's pale and young, still a little reductive, faintly balsamic but with a good core and mid-palate with fantastic balance. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.6 and 4.8 grams of acidity. 91,520 bottles produced. It was bottled between March and July 2025.
