2022 Fishbone Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon Margaret River
94 Ray Jordan - rayjordanwine.com
The source of the fruit for this excellent cabernet is the vineyards in Wilyabrup in this very good cabernet year. An opening salvo of blackcurrant and dark chocolate, and plummy nuances announces this as Margaret River cabernet. It’s generous and intense, but more towards elegance and medium-bodied. Seamlessly integrated, with the use of 30% French oak adding a little palate kick. A complete and polished cabernet.
94 Wine Pilot
A sweet fruited, warm and generous embrace of Margaret River Cabernet. The region does it so well, its Mediterranean climate providing some well-ripened black fruits here – blackberry, dark plum, cassis – with background notes of woody spices, anise, vanillin oak, leaf, earth, briar and a tantalising hint of eucalyptus. Approachability is high with its soft, round curves and overall elegance. Some smart oak integration and immediate drinking pleasure right now will have drinkers tossing up whether to open now or wait a little longer. Why not both? Mid-term ageing is definitely on the cards.

Light and delicate, with crunchy fruit and flint, cranberry and raspberry aromas and flavors. Light-bodied and spicy at the end. Crunchy, crisp and bright. A joy to drink everyday. Drink now.
92 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The Fattoria le Pupille 2024 Morellino di Scansano is led by Sangiovese with small percentages of Alicante and Ciliegiolo that bring extra brightness and energy. In Maremma, complex soils of volcanic deposits layered with ancient marine sediments define the character of the region, and for this wine, the Sangiovese is planted on sandstone soils that enhance elegance and aromatic lift, while other parcels feature pietra serena, red clays and limestone matched carefully to the appropriate variety. The bouquet offers redcurrant, myrtle and fragrant herbal notes of fresh rosemary and thyme, evoking the herb garden that lines the walkway to the estate’s newly inaugurated tasting room and visitor center. This wine offers phenomenal value.
The nose is a mix of crunchy red fruit and flowers, as cherries mingle with peonies, plus a touch of orange peel for texture and density. Strawberries and raspberries join more cherries on the palate, with earth and bitter citrus underneath. Fresh and vibrant.

2022 Dineen Vineyards Cabernet Franc Cabernet Franc from United States
#151626 750 mL
2022 Dineen Vineyards Cabernet Franc
92 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2022 Cabernet Franc is peppery, fresh and lifted. It displays crushed raspberries complicated by dried roses and violet pastilles. It splashes across the palate with ease, showcasing savory red berry fruits and hints of citrus. Brisk acidity maintains energy throughout as this finishes with staining length and gentle tannins, leaving a pleasantly chewy feel.
A wine that smells and tastes like blackberries is off to a fine start. Additional aromas of violets, petrichor and pie crust are matched bonus flavors of clove and a saline note similar to squid ink. There's plenty of acidity here, along with velvety tannins, to match up with those berries. Give me a glass of this wine with a bowl of homemade beef barley soup and I will be a happy human.

2022 Irvine And Roberts Estate Pinot Noir Pinot Noir from United States
#151334 750 mL
2022 Irvine And Roberts Estate Pinot Noir
95 Jonathan Cristaldi - Cristaldi & Co
"Total elegance-this Pinot Noir weaves conifer notes around bright red berry, cherry, and pomegranate fruit, accented by flinty minerality and gorgeous cedarwood. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers cherry, blood orange, and cranberry, all lifted by crunchy cranberry acidity. The tannins are fine, firm, and taut-beautifully elongated and persistent through the long, spicy finish. A superbly built and absolutely delicious Pinot Noir. Winemaker Brian Gruber explains that this Pinot Noir is a blend of older plantings and newer vines established in 2018. Grapes are mostly destemmed, though select lots are fermented with whole clusters for blending flexibility. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, with individual blocks vinified separately. After a short cold soak, native fermentations begin, accompanied by a regimen of pumpovers and punchdowns. Following primary fermentation, an extended maceration of up to 28 days builds mouthfeel, mid-palate weight, and structure. The wine is gently pressed, with primarily free-run juice selected for the final blend. It is aged in roughly one-third new French oak for up to 18 months before blending and bottling."
