The 2020 La Doyenné has quite a perfumed, floral bouquet, wilted rose petal infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is very smooth, with candied orange peel infusing the red cherries and strawberry fruit. Not powerful yet it has an appealing seductiveness on the finish. Worth seeking out.

99 Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Deep, brooding purple-red colour with a concentrated berry fruit bouquet laced with cedar, violets and dried herbs, gorgeous fruit and classy oak embellishment. The wine is full bodied and powerful, with a generous serving of fine grained tannins that add length, authority and a drying but supple finish. Tremendous persistence and wonderful structure. A great wine, that will richly reward long-term cellaring
98 Sam Kim - Wine Orbit
The ‘King of the Grape’ Cabernet Sauvignon comes to the fore with its flatteringly classy presence. This is captivating and totally seductive on the nose, exhibiting blackcurrant, violet, game, anise, subtle tobacco and cedary oak characters, leading to a powerfully concentrated palate displaying considerable depth and exceptional concentration. Harmonious too, it’s gloriously structured and balanced with a firm grip, yet the tannins are just right and seamlessly infused. Perfectly proportioned, this 2022 has the majestic feel that each previous Coleraine possess. A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot & 3% Cabernet Franc. At its best: 2032 to 2052.
97+ Erin Larkin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Coleraine is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. On the nose, the wine shows its sweet creamy oak, a cavalcade of dark fruit and an array of spices. The wine is powdery and ultra fine, with a gravelly score of tannin woven through the finish. A spectacular wine, it's still looking so primary and young at this early stage. I note the total acidity is akin to the 2013 vintage, and it serves to add an extra layer of freshness to the finish—a little uptick to close, if you will. This is awesome. It gets better every time I taste it. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under natural cork.

"Broad and attractive. Aromas of ripe fruit and spices on the nose, with balsamic notes as well and tobacco leaf. Persistent and fluid on the palate, with moderate tannins, and savoriness."
96 GuÃa Gourmets - GuÃa Gourmets
Bright cherry color with a garnet rim. Deep nose, with notes of stewed plums, crème de cassis, blackberries, smokiness, dark chocolate, cigar box, graphite, bay leaf, lavender, violet pastille, and inkiness. On the palate, the wine is complex, with great vibrancy, structure, elegant tannins, balance, and a long retronasal finish.
91 Wine Spectator
Hints of violet, clove, anise and graphite are a delicate, aromatic thread woven through cherry compote, plum skin, dried thyme and mineral flavors. This is supple and harmonious, with fine tannins firming the finish. Drink now through 2029. 5,000 cases made, 500 cases imported.

Lively aromas of raspberry and pomegranate meet with sumac, red flowers and wet forest fronds on the nose of this bottling. The palate combines flavors of dried and liquified cherry along with cola and toasted sage elements that are slightly sour. — Matt Kettmann

91 Billy Norris - Vinous Media
The 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is textbook SLH—everything you want from an easygoing, early-drinking red. Sweet raspberry, lavender and sour cherry open in the glass, giving way to a generous mouthfeel that coats every corner of the palate in juicy red fruit. Considering the growing season, a touch of heat on the finish is eminently forgivable. Drink this charming Pinot over the next few years. The quality-to-price ratio is undeniable.

2018 D'arenberg Laughing Magpie Shiraz/Viognier
93 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
One of the modern classics for d’Arenberg, this is fermented with a high proportion of lightly pressed viognier skins and then has shiraz added late in the elevate to tone the viognier influence into balance. The aromas are fresh, richly spicy and lead by exuberantly ripe blackberries and dark plums with toasted spices and meaty elements. The palate has such richness and exotic, powerful tannins carry ripe dark plums and berries long and deep. Impressive depth and composure. Drink over the next decade.
89 MaryAnn Worobiec - Wine Spectator
Dense and rustic, with charming notes of campfire, salumi and espresso that show firm, dusty tannins. There are plenty of black pepper accents to the core of cassis, blackberry and dried sage. Shiraz and Viognier. Drink now through 2039.

An excellent white Chateauneuf that displays the strengths of the vintage. Intense preserved lemon and lime aromas are married to a compact structure on the full-bodied but focused palate.
