93 Matthew Luczy - Robert Parkers The Wine Advocate
"Fermented with one-third whole clusters, the 2023 Syrah Estate exudes a lovely balance between high-toned energy and grounded depth. The nose is classically bright, savory and herbal before the palate takes a deep, darker-fruited turn, showcasing a beautiful, velvety texture supported by sturdy tannins. It finishes on a lifted yet weightless note with impressive precision."

2022 Hendry Block 7 & 22 Zinfandel Zinfandel from United States

2022 Hendry Block 7 & 22 Zinfandel
92 Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Both of these blocks are planted to Clone 2, a virus-free clone that came to FPS from Lodi. Block 7 was planted in 1975 and Block 22 in 1995. The 2022 Zinfandel Blocks 7 & 22 features floral, tea-like and even orange-like aromas, plus bold berry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, silky-textured and open, with only the slightest hint of raisined fruit and a hint of French oak (one-third new barrels for 15 months). Finishing long and velvety, it's a fine Zin for drinking young, at a reasonable price.

2022 Frogs Leap Napa Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#151013 750 mL
2022 Frogs Leap Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
94 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is terrific. Rich and forward, the 2022 is a bit extroverted for Frog's Leap, but all the elements are so well balanced. The Cabernet is typically in a blend from three ranches—Rossi, Chavez-Leeds and Red Barn—but in 2022, most of the wine is from Rossi and Chavez-Leeds, as Red Barn was mostly declassified because the fruit was compromised by the year. Ripe red cherry fruit, blood orange and spice notes convey an impression of exoticism that is super distinctive.

"Beautifully balanced and refined in texture, this displays exotic ground spice and floral accents to the flavors of poached white peach, Meyer lemon and candied ginger, with hints of pastry and honey. Offers a lasting, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2023. 2,917 cases imported. -AN" (11/13)
92 Wine & Spirits
"If chardonnay could be a red wine, it might have the red fruit flavors of this blanc de blancs. Perhaps it’s the floral aspects that turn its chamomile and yellow flower notes toward violets, or the deep earth tones adding color to the flavor. The fruit is persistent, sunny in the middle, then shaded by an almost tannic character to the lees that places the wine with food, particularly roast veal." (12/13)

2019 Pollard Red Blend 'Pollard Vineyard' Yakima Valley
93 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2019 Red Wine seduces with a pretty blend of dried violets, incense, herbal tea and crushed wild blueberries. Like liquid silk, this flows across the palate with a juicy blend of red and blue fruits elevated by juicy acidity, as a lavender air forms toward the close. This leaves a pleasantly bitter sensation, mixing blackberries and hints of spice, as sweet tannins frame the experience well. This is a glass of liquid pleasure.

2023 Dominio De Pingus Psi Ribera Del Duero Tempranillo / Tinto Fino / Tinta Roriz from Spain
#150904 750 mL
2023 Dominio De Pingus Psi Ribera Del Duero
93-94 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Tasted just before bottling, so a sample of the final blend, the 2023 PSI is juicy, ripe and approachable. It is a little showier and headier, despite having similar alcohol to the bottled 2022 (perhaps a tad higher, but not quite reaching 14%), and it feels a little riper, with peachy notes and some decayed flowers. It has abundant tannins and feels like it's in need of some more time in bottle. This is usually the case for PSI: the tannins need time. They are resolved quite quickly, but it does need a bit of time. It should be bottled in May 2025.
92-94 JoaquĂn Hidalgo - Vinous Media
The 2023 PSI brings together fruit from 12 villages, mostly Gumiel de Mercado and Villatuelda in the Soria sector of Ribera del Duero. The project began in 2007 with the recovery of neglected vineyards, now totaling 200 hectares across about 700 parcels, 25% of which are estate-owned. Garnet colored, it opens with pine and herbal notes, then red fruit—cherry and a touch of plum. The palate shows fine-grained tannins, a midweight texture and detailed fruit. The bottle will reveal the Soria character in the interplay of fine tannins and acidity.

2020 Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#143695 750 mL
2020 Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder
95 Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Independent
Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon needs a little coaxing to bring out pretty notes of kirsch, redcurrant jelly, and juicy blackberries plus hints of rose oil, cinnamon stick, and underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is bright and cheery, with red and black berry layers framed by a chewy texture and refreshing line, finishing long and earthy. Nice!
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the wines of this very challenging harvest. Dark and imposing, the 2020 is packed with black fruit, cloves, leather, menthol, chocolate and dried herbs. This is an especially dense, potent Cabernet. There is some aggressiveness to the tannins, but that is the vintage. Overall, this is impeccably done, especially within the context of the year.
94 J. D'Angelo - International Wine Report
The 2020 Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep and expressive nose, featuring a blend of ripe blackberries, boysenberries, and black cherries, accented by fragrant notes of dried savory herbs, anise, exotic spices, cocoa powder and a touch of dusty nuances all coming together beautifully to add wonderful complexity to the aromatics. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied, dense, and structured with muscular tannins, that provide plenty of backbone to support the fruit. Layers of dark fruits, tobacco and spices are well-integrated, leading to a long finish. This is remarkable showing from Mayacamas in this vintage, and should be provide immediate drinking pleasure, but also thrive in the cellar for over a decade.

Dalva 20 Year Old Tawny

Mid-deep tawny amber. Woody, toasty, hazelnuts and some smoke – mostly barrel aromatics. Vibrant acidity lifts the fully-sweet palate, with cooked citrus and strawberry fruit. Spicy, cinnamon, hazelnut and dark chocolate, with just some spirity warmth detracting. A fine 20 Year Old, nevertheless. (TJ)

"The 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is a pretty dense, heady wine. Kirsch, blood orange, pomegranate and spice fill out the layers. Potent tannins wrap it all together. This is far from an easygoing Langhe Nebbiolo, that much is certain."
