2019 Val Di Suga Brunello Di Montalcino Poggio Al Granchio
95 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
From a site with schistic galestro clay soils, the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Poggio al Granchio is definitely the most complete and complex of these new releases from 2019 by Val di Suga. Fruit comes from an 18-hectare vineyard located at 430 to 450 meters in elevation. The wine offers more oozing richness and concentration in line with the character of the vintage with sweet cherry, blackberry, toasted cumin seed and pressed rose. This estate does a good job of maintaining the freshness of Sangiovese. Some 12,000 bottles were made.

2019 Accendo Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#142766 750 mL
2019 Accendo Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
99 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is similarly deep purple-hued and has a killer nose of cr me de cassis, spicy wood tobacco leaf, and graphite. It too is rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, with that classic 2019 broad, expansive, sexy mouthfeel to go with plenty of velvety tannins on the finish. It will evolve for at least two decades.
98+ Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Sourced from six different Napa Valley vineyards and a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon from Accendo is a dark, cassis-laden effort tinged with violets and black tea. Full-bodied, rich, velvety and tannic, it shows lovely harmony and structure, ample but not overdone concentration and tremendous length and elegance.
98 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
Accendo's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is every bit as alluring as it was from barrel. Plush and sensual, with no hard edges, the 2019 possesses magnificent balance from start to finish. Dark-fleshed fruit, spice, leather, tobacco and menthol build as this sumptuous, racy Cabernet shows off its tremendous charm. Best of all, the 2019 offers quite a bit of immediacy. I would choose to drink it ahead of some of the more structured recent vintages. As always, the Accendo Cabernet is a blend of several top sites in Napa Valley.
98 Jonathan Cristaldi - Decanter Magazine
Tasted with Bart Araujo at Wheeler Farms, the 'Rolls Royce of custom crush facilities', as described by Accendo winemaker Nigel Kinsman. Bart and wife Daphne established Wheeler Farms after selling their Araujo Estate (now Eisele Vineyard) to the Artemis Group. Grapes are sourced from Vine Hill Ranch, Sleeping Lady in Rutherford, Eco Tone (a former Abreu property), and a site on Diamond Mountain formerly known as Reverie. Generous blackberry fruit aromas are tinged with wild herbs and heady cedar spices. Broad and expansive on the palate with saturated dark fruit, cassis, graphite and wild herbs. Rustic, elongated tannins glide to a savoury finish.

2021 Summer Dreams Super Chill Pinot Noir
97 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
Another spicy, complex, fresh 2021, the 2021 Pinot Noir Super Chill has some classic, Burgundian leafy herbs and underbrush notes as well as a beautiful core of raspberry and dark cherry fruits. It's vibrant, medium to full-bodied, has riveting purity, and ultra-fine tannins. This is legit sensational Pinot Noir. Drink bottles over the coming 7-8 years.
96 Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Independent
Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2021 Super Chill Pinot Noir needs a bit of swirling to bring out a complex perfume of garrigue, violets, crushed rocks, and forest floor giving way to a gorgeous core of pomegranate, kirsch, and fresh raspberries. The medium-bodied palate is tightly knit with stacked layers of red berries and minerals, framed by silt-like tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing very long and fragrant.

2020 Collemassari Grattamacco 'Grattamacco' Bolgheri Superiore
97 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
A stellar wine, the 2020 Grattamacco is dark, vibrant and nuanced to the core. Black fruit, lavender, spice, leather, menthol and dried herbs infuse the 2020 with tons of character and complexity. Deep yet also wonderfully translucent, the 2020 is one of the most finessed Grattamaccos I can remember tasting. There's incredible depth and resonance here, not to mention tons of personality.

2021 Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Slated for a September 2024 release, Spottswoode's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as more vibrant, floral and fresh than the 2020. Violet and cassis notes are accented by hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings on the nose. Hugely complex yet harmonious, this medium-bodied effort is firm but silky in feel, with a long, elegant finish. Lovely stuff.

97 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Welcome to the wild side of pinot gris, but don’t imagine for a second that this is a lush wine. In spite of all the power, this is super-cool and tense. If you have the patience, then let yourself sink into this incredibly dense and compact dry wine. Massive dark minerality in the extremely long finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Salted quincy kind of fruit, with a touch of green olive skin and mineral nuances. Lovely texture, quite refreshing. (Silver) - DWWA 2024
17+ Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages
Assyrtiko from a single vineyard in Imerovigli. Unoaked. Smells rather different from the Santorini Assyrtiko, more smoky/mineral and less fruity in the aroma. In the mouth, deep and chewy, masses of freshness and excellent intensity and length. Still a little bit disjointed and needs time.

Peppery herbs and rose petals give way to crushed wild berries as the 2022 Pinot Noir slowly unfolds in the glass. This boasts a juicy, ripe red and blue fruit core accelerated by juicy acidity. It finishes spicy and unexpectedly fresh, leaving hints of tart raspberry that add a pleasant, cheek-puckering tension.

2021 Cakebread Benchland Select Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#143567 750 mL
2021 Cakebread Benchland Select Cabernet Sauvignon
95 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
All Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Benchland Select comes from both Rutherford and Oakville fruit and spent 22 months in 56% new French oak. This brings another level of precision and focus compared to the Suscol Springs, and the wine has a stunning array of black raspberries, spicy oak, lead pencil shavings, and exotic baking spice and floral nuances. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and elegant, it has ultra-fine tannins, perfectly integrated background oak, and a great finish. It has plenty of structure and will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and should still be going strong at age 20.
93+ Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Cakebread's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Benchland Select blends five clones from two different vineyards to yield bold scents of black cherries, cassis and mocha but also some redder berries. It's medium to full-bodied, edging just past 14% alcohol while still seeming generous and silky in feel, finishing long and harmonious, with a dusting of fine-grained tannins.
93 Wine Spectator
Ripe and polished, with juicy underlying energy to the mix of black currant and blackberry fruit flavors. Light hints of violet, apple wood and warm earth peek through as this red's solid grip holds the finish. Best from 2025 through 2036. 1,400 cases made.
