2018 Bergstrom Pinot Noir Silice Pinot Noir from United States
#141680 750 mL
2018 Bergstrom Pinot Noir Silice
93 Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media
Translucent ruby-red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes candied cherry, raspberry, allspice and succulent herbs, and a sexy floral note emerges as the wine stretches out. Concentrated red fruit and floral pastille flavors are supported by a spine of juicy acidity and sharpened by an emerging mineral nuance. Smoothly marries power to finesse and finishes with strong, gently tannic persistence and lingering floral and spice notes. 10% new oak.

2022 Chateau Lagrange Blend from France
#135789 750 mL
2022 Chateau Lagrange
94-96+ William Kelley - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Lagrange is brilliant, ranking alongside the 2020, 2019 and 2016 as one of this over-performing estate's finest recent vintages. Revealing aromas of dark cherries, cassis, violets and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with a deep core of fruit, beautifully refined but youthfully assertive tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish. It's a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot with a very healthy pH of 3.63.
96 Jane Anson - Inside Bordeaux
A Lagrange with real depth and restaint, feels so pefectly Left Bank, really impresive, a wine that shows the true possibilities of the vintage. There is a build up of tannins through the palate, but also a juiciness and a gorgeous cassis, bilberry and fresh cherry pit seduction, with huge confidence and clear ageing potential.
96 Decanter
Juicy and intensely ripe in terms of texture - tannins are fleshy but also really cool giving this a push-pull of bright acidity and actually quite serious mineral elements of flint and liquorice. Such an appealing weight in the mouth, layered and structured with expressive fruit and lively juiciness all combining to a stylish and inviting whole. So much going on but managed with finesse and elegance. A clear success in 2022. Harvest 8-30 September. Ageing 21 months in French oak, 60% new. Tasted twice.
94-96 Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Independent
The 2022 Lagrange is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it bursts forth with bombastic notions of creme de cassis, blackberry preserves, and redcurrant jelly, leading to alluring nuances of cinnamon stick, clove oil, star anise, and violets. The medium-bodied palate is densely laden with black fruit and baking spices layers, supported by ripe, fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and opulent. 40% of the year's production went into the first wine and yields were 34 hl/ha. pH 3.53.
94-95 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Solid Lagrange with blueberry and blackberry character. Medium body and a tannin structure that unfolds at the finish. Very well done.
91-94 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The 2022 Château Lagrange is more mid-weight than I expected, yet it's nicely balanced and certainly elegant. Based on 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot pulled from just 40% of the total production, it has a pretty nose of cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as some floral and spicy nuances. Its oak is nicely integrated, it's medium to full-bodied, and it has fine tannins. The barrel review will seem low if this puts on weight over the course of its élevage.

2017 Mustela Ultimo Degli Onesta Barbaresco Riserva
92 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
With fruit from the Meruzzano MGA site, the top-end Mustela 2017 Barbaresco Riserva Ultimo degli Onesti shows some dried fruit and spice in line with this hot and dry vintage. Dried cherry, tar, licorice and earth emerge from the bouquet. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and long, with open-knit tannins that suggest a medium-term drinking window. The Riserva sees 36 months in French oak, and a mere 1,330 bottles were produced.

2020 Chateau Le Rey "Rocheuses"
93 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
Black fruits, plums, tobacco, chocolate, and leafy herb notes all emerge from the 2020 Château Le Rey Les Rocheuses, a pure, beautifully balanced Castillon. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a good sense of freshness, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a clear step up over the Les Argileuses in 2020 and offers a more elegant, balanced style. Drink bottles over the coming decade.
93 Jane Anson - Decanter
Bright, blueberry fruit and well-sculpted tannins to ensure vertical lift of the fruit through the glass. I love what the Vignobles K team have been doing with this wine, at a gorgeous spot in Castillon..
92+ Yohan Castaing - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
Vignobles K’s Castillon estate Château Le Rey 2020 Les Rocheuses is showing well, exhibiting aromas of dark berries, licorice, blueberry, violet and spring flowers. Produced from about 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc both cultivated on the same limestone soils, it is the former that stands out in this medium to full-bodied, vibrant and lively wine. The tannins are perfectly integrated and lead to a long, penetrating, very fresh finish.
92 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
So much blackberry and chalkiness give it a crushed stone and oyster shell character. Full-bodied, chewy and spicy. White pepper to the fruit and bright acidity. Drink or hold
92 Jonathan Choukroun - Vert de Vin
The nose is fruity and offers a nice freshness, concentration as well as a fine grain, power, a nice freshness, and a certain intensity. It reveals notes of bright cassis, griots, small notes of fresh blackberry associated with small fresh wild fruits as well as fine hints of cornflower, fresh blond tabaco and a discreet hint of pepper. The mouth is nicely built, fresh and offers gourmandize, fat, fleshiness, roundness, suavity as well as a certain tension, a fine grain, a nice sapidity and a fine airy side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cassis, small notes of bright cherry associated with touches of bright/fresh raspberry, cherry flower as well as fine hints of violet, racy minerality, a discreet hint of aromatic herbs, chocolate and a subtle hint of tonka bean. Good length. The tannins are precis and mellow.

2021 Kongsgaard Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
92 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dense, brooding wine. Swaths of mountain tannin wrap around a core of dark red-toned fruit, iron, savory herbs and graphite. The blend is approximately 50% estate and 50% neighbor fruit, including 20% Merlot. This is an especially reticent 2021, but, then again, we are on Atlas Peak. Give this time.

90 Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"In contrast to the tannic Cabernet Franc, Peju's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is more supple and approachable. Floral, mint, cassis and black cherry notes appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate even includes hints of mocha and dark chocolate. Soft, dusty tannins mark the finish, joined by hints of toasted coconut."

96 Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media
Saturated purple. Deeply pitched blackberry, cherry, olive paste, vanilla, bacon fat and pungent floral qualities on the intensely perfumed, mineral-accented nose. Sappy and densely packed yet vibrant as well, offering bitter cherry, dark berry liqueur, smoked meat, mocha and candied violet flavors and a hint of salty olive paste. Shows superb detail and mineral thrust on the youthfully tannic finish, which hangs on with strong, floral-driven persistence.x000D There's a lot going on here but, by all means, give it some time. 50% new oak.
95 Wine Spectator
Lush, warm and inviting, with waves of steeped plum, blackberry and fig fruit cruising through, underscored by licorice root, loam and ganache accents. Features a subtle violet note that skitters through the finish, adding range. Best from 2024 through 2036. 140 cases made, 20 cases imported.

88-89 Anne Krebiehl MW - Vinous Media
Half of the 2022 Pinot Gris Classic is from estate fruit, half from bought-in grapes from Wintzenheim, Pfaffenheim and Riquewihr - which means limestone and clay soils. The nose is open with sun-warmed, russet pear peel alongside a subtle smokiness. The palate is textured, round, smooth and balanced. It's a mouthful of wine with a lovely edge of apple pip bitterness. This may be entry-level, but there is nothing facile about this with its beautiful textural element. (Dry)
