2022 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge "Les Marnes" Pinot Noir from France
#148053 750 mL
2022 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge "Les Marnes"
95 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
A succulent, lively, precise and refined pinot noir with aromas of forest berries, cherries, stones, mild spices and wild herbs. Medium-bodied with finely grained tannins and bright acidity. So much tension. Racy berry character meets a mineral frame and a vivid, stony finish. Long and succulent, with lots of transparency and verve. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
92 Rebecca Gibb MW - Vinous Media
The 2022 Les Marnes is a succulent style of Pinot in a cool-climate context. It offers breadth despite remaining light in body. This has excellent texture and tannins that provide a savory impression. Imagine a fine, wet clay-like, slippery texture with fine, drawn-out acidity providing length.

2020 Giuseppe Mascarello Barolo Monprivato Nebbiolo from Italy

2020 Giuseppe Mascarello Barolo Monprivato
98 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2020 Barolo Monprivato is without question one of the finest wines to emerge from these cellars in many years. Translucent and layered, with captivating textural depth, the 2020 is positively stellar. Bright red-toned fruit, chalk, mint, white pepper, blood orange and dried rose petal come alive in the glass. This statuesque Barolo simply has it all. It's great to see the Mascarello family making truly pedigreed wines once again. To find a Monprivato of this exceptionally high level, readers will have to go back to the 1989. That's how outstanding the 2020 is.
98 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The nose of the 2020 Barolo Monprivato is highly expressive and perfumed with notes of wild strawberries, fresh cut fennel, springtime herbs, and wet stones. The palate is seamless and similar to 2018 in terms of its elegance, but this wine has more structure, well-defined, even tannins, and a bit more body through the mid-palate while still retaining a very approachable and joyful feel. This will be a wine with a wide window for enjoyment and is one of the highlights of this vintage for me. It offers so much pleasure now, and I anticipate it will continue to improve over the coming decades. Bravo. Drink 2026-2056.

2018 Bevan Cellars Houyi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Sauvignon from United States

2018 Bevan Cellars Houyi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
99 J. D'Angelo - International Wine Report
The 2018 Houyi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is yet another absolute knockout from Bevan. This instantly grabs your attention with its insanely dark, inky color and striking aromatics, which are loaded with incredibally pure, ripe black cherries, boysenberries and black currants along with lead pencil, fresh dark florals, Asian spices, dark chocolate shavings and mountain sage nuances that fill the glass. This is just as sensational on the palate, with a gorgeous full body that is layered and beautifully polished. It goes on to deliver a luxurious mouthful of delicious ripe dark fruits, exotic spices, graphite and hints of dark cocoa powder which resonate all the way though the ultra-long, finish that is utterly seamless. This delivers on every level, and while it is absolutely captivating at this young age, it also has the structure to indicate a tremendous future ahead. This is a seriously impressive wine that should not be missed.
98+ Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Coming from this famed rocky, red-soiled vineyard up on Pritchard Hill, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Houyi Vineyard was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant scents of fresh blueberries, black raspberries and warm black cherries followed by hints of cassis, wild sage and underbrush. Full-bodied, it has a firm, grainy texture supporting the muscular black fruit flavors with lots of red fruit sparks and mineral accents coming through on the persistent finish. 213 cases were made.

"The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Armador comes from Padre Hurtado in Maipo. This is the final vintage from this vineyard. Aromas include blackberry, a touch of sour cherry and subtle notes of black tea and infusion. The palate is delicate, with restrained extraction and gentle fruit. It’s not concentrated, but rather smooth and fruit-forward."

An incredibly light red, which never sacrifices flavor and expresses such vibrancy that it is hard to stop drinking it. The palate shows raspberry, mulberry and blood orange acidity, which gives this the backbone since the tannins are superlight. A truly beautiful match for the summer. — Aleks Zecevic

2014 Taittinger Blanc De Blancs Comtes De Champagne Chardonnay from France
#149332 750 mL
2014 Taittinger Blanc De Blancs Comtes De Champagne
97 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2014 Comtes de Champagne is pristine. In this tasting, it comes across as a mini-2008, similar in its linear personality, with just a touch more mid-palate creaminess. Readers will find a Comtes that plays in the realm of tension and energy. Citrus confit, white flowers, chalk, mint and chamomile are all finely sketched. Light tropical overtones grace the finish. What an absolute delight. The 2014 can be enjoyed now or cellared. Dosage is 9 grams per liter.
97 Yohan Castaing - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
Closed in style and character like the 2013, Taittinger's 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne reveals aromas of ripe orchard fruit, confit citrus, dried flowers, herbs, spring blossoms and mirabelle mingled with customary autolytic notes. Full-bodied, seamless and enrobing, it has a delicate, elegant, fleshy core of fruit and racy acids, all enhanced by a saline, fresh and penetrating finish marked by finesse and elegance. This refined, chalky-inflected Comtes de Champagne has the potential to age gracefully over the next 30-40 years.

"Attractive fruit with sliced-strawberry and apple aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with fresh apples and citrus as well as touches of heather and bread dough. Tangy at the end. 70% pinot noir, 10% Bouzy rouge and 20% chardonnay. Dosage 5 g/L. Drink now."
90 Antonio Galloni - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The NV Brut Grand Rose is an absolutely delicious wine, particularly at the NV level. This is a serious rose, which is immediately evident in the wine’s dark hue and dense, full-bodied personality. Their wine possesses layers of candied Pinot fruit, all woven together in a rich, sensual style. This sweeping, large-scaled rose will offer its finest drinking at the dinner table. This is Lot 235066, disgorged November 6, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. This is a superb set of releases from Bara, arguably the most renowned grower in the village of Bouzy, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme."
