2019 Hermanos De Pecina Senorio Crianza Rioja Tempranillo / Tinto Fino / Tinta Roriz from Spain
#149284 750 mL
2019 Hermanos De Pecina Senorio Crianza Rioja
92 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The textbook traditional red 2019 SeñorÃo de P. Peciña Crianza was produced with their classical blend of Tempranillo with small percentages of Garnacha and Graciano. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in used American oak barrels following the most orthodox tradition, for two years, a lot longer than required to obtain the category. It has spicy notes, a hint of cigar box and forest floor and is a powerful and ripe year, when the wine achieved 14.36% alcohol and good freshness and acidity. It has a medium to full-bodied palate with a chalky mouthfeel, fine tannins and a slightly dusty and rustic touch that would welcome food. It was bottled in May 2022.

"Subtle complexity with bright, elegant strawberries, lemon zest, light toast and chalky depth. No leafy aromas. Tight and intense long bubbles with racy acidity and a polished, filigreed finish. Disgorged December 2024. Drink or hold."

2020 Far Mountain Fission Cabernet Sauvignon
92 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Fission is packed with scents of blackberry, coffee, dried savory herbs, lavender, mocha and spice. This potent, strapping Moon Mountain Cabernet packs a pretty big punch. I would give the firm Moon Mountain tannins a year or two to soften. Overall, the 2020 is a fine showing in this challenging vintage.

Bodegas Barbadillo Jerez Xeres Sherry Palo Cortado En Rama Criadera Selection
94 Wine Advocate - Wine Advocate
"Barbadillo is somehow a specialist in Palo Cortado, and they now offer a younger, gentler and more straightforward NV Palo Cortado Criadera Selection from the TÃo RÃo solera. It's an elegant oxidative wine, with an average age of 14 years, with a peachy nose, gentle and tender, but with a more saline and sharper palate with a bitter twist in the finish. It has an Oloroso nose and an Amontillado palate. 906 bottles were filled in March 2024."

J Vineyards Sparkling Brut Rose
92 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
A lovely, flavorful rosé with sliced peaches and strawberries. Medium to full body. Very bright and flavorful. Fine bubbles. Delicious finish. Clear and vivid. Drink now.
92 Wine Enthusiast
This sparkling wine is a majority of Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. It is aromatic in strawberry and cream tones that follow through to the palate. Rose petal, wet stone and lemon peel provide complementary brightness
Blended of about two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay with a splash of Pinot Meurnier, the NV Brut Rose sports a very pale salmon-pink color, delivering notes of wild strawberries, McIntosh apples and raspberry leaves with a hint of chalk dust. The palate offers seriously zippy red berries and apple flavors with an impressively fine mousse and well-balanced finish

2022 Bergstrom Pinot Noir Silice Pinot Noir from United States
#149070 750 mL
2022 Bergstrom Pinot Noir Silice
97 J. D'Angelo - International Wine Report
The 2022 Bergstrom Pinot Noir ‘Silice’ from the Chehalem Mountains is another standout from Bergstrom’s talented winemaking team. In the glass, it shows a medium ruby-blue core with a light neon pink rim. The nose reveals vibrant notes of macerated raspberries, huckleberries, kumquats, crushed rock, and sweet cinnamon sticks. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins and a crunchy texture that spans the breadth of the palate. With its structure and depth, this wine has serious aging potential and will be even better with proper cellaring, especially from 2026 onwards. A true candidate for long-term enjoyment, so buy a case and drink one every year to see how it evolves. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
96 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
From a site thought to possibly be a 60-million-year-old sand dune and the estate’s sandiest vineyard site (hence the name), the jeweled ruby-hued 2022 Pinot Noir Silice offers compact notes of black raspberries, baking spices, and tangerine and is highly perfumed with rocky earth. Medium-bodied, it has a more linear feel and is long on the palate, with ripe tannins, a more gravelly texture, and a great, savory finish. Elegant and compact at the same time, it can be enjoyed over the coming 15 or more years.

93 Matthew Luczy - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Fermented with one-third whole clusters, the 2023 Syrah Estate exudes a lovely balance between high-toned energy and grounded depth. The nose is classically bright, savory and herbal before the palate takes a deep, darker-fruited turn, showcasing a beautiful, velvety texture supported by sturdy tannins. It finishes on a lifted yet weightless note with impressive precision."
