Precise and translucent aromas of red cherries, pencil shavings, blood oranges and rose petals. The palate is refined and polished, with vivid red fruit and chalky, mouthwatering tannins. There’s nervy tension and real drive, with great aging potential. Delicious. Drink or hold.

Aromatics on the nose expand on the palate. A fragrant nose welcomes you along with rich black fruit and blackberry, boysenberry puree, blueberry, black raspberry compote, apricot, white blossom and red plum. The wine is joyful on the palate with black tea and forest floor lending added depth. If you are a black-tea drinker who enjoys plump red wines, this bottle is your jam.

95 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2019 Syrah Coastview Vineyard - Terraces is fabulous. Racy and sleek, the 2019 is endowed with serious depth. Dark fruit, leather, incense, tobacco, mocha, lavender and dried herbs are all amplified in this big, bold Syrah from Big Basin. There's so much to like.
94 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
Ripe black fruits, pepper, leather, and spring flower notes all emerge from the 2019 Syrah Coastview Vineyard Terraces, a hidden gem of a Syrah that has more than a passing resemblance to a great Côte Rôtie. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, with a great mid-palate and ripe tannins, it's one of the standouts in this lineup. It will unquestionably evolve for 10-15 years.

93 Tim Atkin, MW
A sleek red, fragrant with violet, wild thyme, sweet paprika and mineral notes. This is fresh and deftly balanced, integrating taut, fine-grained tannins with a pure beam of ripe blackberry and black currant fruit that echoes on the finish. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Francisca. Drink now through 2036.

92 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The harmonious and approachable red 2023 Manoella Tinto was produced with grapes from 43-year-old vines, four varieties (60% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz and 5% Tinta Francisca) but still mixed in the vineyard in Quinta de Manoella on rich soils. It's a cooler place because of the forest around it, and the wine has a moderate 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.6 and 5.6 grams of acidity. It's medium-bodied and balanced, with fine tannins. It matured in well-seasoned, neutral oak barrels for 16 months.

99 Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Deep, brooding purple-red colour with a concentrated berry fruit bouquet laced with cedar, violets and dried herbs, gorgeous fruit and classy oak embellishment. The wine is full bodied and powerful, with a generous serving of fine grained tannins that add length, authority and a drying but supple finish. Tremendous persistence and wonderful structure. A great wine, that will richly reward long-term cellaring
98 Sam Kim - Wine Orbit
The ‘King of the Grape’ Cabernet Sauvignon comes to the fore with its flatteringly classy presence. This is captivating and totally seductive on the nose, exhibiting blackcurrant, violet, game, anise, subtle tobacco and cedary oak characters, leading to a powerfully concentrated palate displaying considerable depth and exceptional concentration. Harmonious too, it’s gloriously structured and balanced with a firm grip, yet the tannins are just right and seamlessly infused. Perfectly proportioned, this 2022 has the majestic feel that each previous Coleraine possess. A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot & 3% Cabernet Franc. At its best: 2032 to 2052.
97+ Erin Larkin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Coleraine is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. On the nose, the wine shows its sweet creamy oak, a cavalcade of dark fruit and an array of spices. The wine is powdery and ultra fine, with a gravelly score of tannin woven through the finish. A spectacular wine, it's still looking so primary and young at this early stage. I note the total acidity is akin to the 2013 vintage, and it serves to add an extra layer of freshness to the finish—a little uptick to close, if you will. This is awesome. It gets better every time I taste it. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under natural cork.
