2024 Telmo Rodriguez Gaba Do Xil O Barreiro Godello from Spain
#149055 750 mL
2024 Telmo Rodriguez Gaba Do Xil O Barreiro
92 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2024 Gaba do Xil O Barreiro comes from a mild year, with enough rain and lower yields because of problems with fungus. The grapes were healthy when they started picking them the third of September. It fermented and matured in stainless steel with lees for four months without going through malolactic acidity. It's pale and young, still a little reductive, faintly balsamic but with a good core and mid-palate with fantastic balance. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.6 and 4.8 grams of acidity. 91,520 bottles produced. It was bottled between March and July 2025.

2023 Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
96 Audrey Frick - jebdunnuck.com
"A bright straw hue, the 2023 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is elegant and refreshing with notes of preserved salted lime, green apples, wet stones, and delicate spice. The palate is full though compact and light on its feet, with fantastic clarity, focus, and an electric energy that propels the wine with a refreshing and balanced feel. An exceptional vintage for this wine, it has the ability to hold up over the long haul. Drink 2025-2037."
93 Wine Spectator
This distinctive white features a lively, mouthwatering and energetic mix of pomelo, yuzu and lemon sherbet flavors, with hints of sweetgrass, apple blossoms and lime zest. There's also an appealing grip on the finish, reminiscent of the skin of roasted, salted almonds, while a whiff of wild fennel lingers. Drink now through 2033. 23,000 cases made.

This deep ruby-colored wine has a bouquet of black cherry, milk chocolate and clove. Flavors of blackberry, baking spices, mocha and violet are supported by opulent tannins and a sophisticated whiff of smoke that endure on the palate.

2020 Guigal Cote Rotie La Landonne
98-100 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
I think the star of the show in 2020 will be the 2020 CĂ´te RĂ´tie La Landonne, and this is one I can't wait to taste from bottle. It's slightly more elegant and supple compared to the massive 2019, yet it has a similar style in its extravagant dark fruits, truffle, game, iron, and smoked meat-like aromas and flavors. It's a powerful, full-bodied, concentrated CĂ´te RĂ´tie that's going to need to be forgotten for 8-10 years, although if you ever wanted to try a truly great young La Landonne, this might be the one given its incredible fruit and texture.
97-100 Nicolas Greinacher - Vinous
The potentially perfect 2020 CĂ´te-RĂ´tie La Landonne is riveting. Bringing together all the finest elements of the Guigal house style, it explodes from the glass with smoky blackberry jam, menthol, crushed rocks, cured meat, iodine, licorice, cloves and black olive tapenade. Charged with a massive tannic core, this concentrated powerhouse dazzles with off-the-charts intensity yet total clarity and focus. Built like a skyscraper, the 2020 will surely be a long-distance runner.
98-100 Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The undisputed star of the cellar this vintage (at least at this stage), the 2020 Cote Rotie La Landonne is not only unbelievably complex on the nose—with an awesome stew of vegetal-herbal nuances blended with cassis and smoked meat—but full-bodied, concentrated, velvety-textured and remarkably long and tannic. Patience will be required.
99 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
This is ample, stunning and concentrated, with impressive energy. Dark berries, grilled herbs, stones, leather, undergrowth and loads of baking spices. Full-bodied with fine, sinewy tannins. There is a solid frame of tannins bringing a serious character on the palate. Dense, dark core of blackberries and spices funneling through the palate. Highly textured with incredible drive. Focused and shaped for aging. Try from 2028.

2022 Groth Cabernet Sauvignon
92 Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"An impressive value for an Oakville AVA Cabernet, Groth's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is a bit reticent and slow out of the chute, but aeration brings out nice aromas of black cherries and subtle cedar notes. A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot, it's medium- to full-bodied but streamlined and silky, showing impressive length and elegance for the vintage. The new-oak component comes in at 45%, imparting just enough structure to ensure a decade's worth of drinkability. With more than 20,000 cases produced, it should be relatively easy to track down a few bottles."

1967 Dalva 1967 Colheita Port Port Varieties from Portugal
#126765 750 mL
1967 Dalva 1967 Colheita Port
94 Mark Squires - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 1967 Colheita Tawny Port Dalva is a field blend coming in at 145 grams per liter of residual sugar. It is surprisingly young for its age, the wave of sugar hiding the complexity. Very sweet on the finish, this does have those old tawny nuances underneath. There's bark and molasses to go with the sugar and caramel. It seems rich, but not overly concentrated. The most impressive part is the finish. It lingers beautifully. In fact, it is hard to get it out of your mouth. You may be tasting it the next morning. While, on first taste, the 1985 actually seems more complex and this 1967 seems a bit too sugary, this eventually proves that it has the goods. The long finish alone demonstrates that nicely.
