2022 Favia Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#150256 750 mL
2022 Favia Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon
97 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Lush black- and blue-fruit aromas with underlying notes of licorice, crushed stones, bitter chocolate and pencil. The palate is seamlessly integrated with firmly framed tannins and bright acidity, leading into a mineral, earth-driven finish. Made from 100% cabernet sauvignon with an average vine age of 20 years. Delicious. Drink or hold.
96+ Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Slated for release in September 2025, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville is a dark, brooding, savory effort, its cassis fruit underscored by hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings. It's medium to full-bodied, tight and focused, framed by soft, dusty tannins and finishing long and elegant.

2018 Proprieta Sperino Lessona Bramaterra
93 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2018 Bramaterra is laced with macerated cherry, blood orange, cinnamon, cedar, sweet spice and tobacco. The 2018 is done in a pretty forward style for the appellation, with plenty of upfront fruit and a bit of oak, but retains the stylistic classicism that is so characteristic here. Readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this jewel of a wine.

2020 Comando G Las Umbrias Grenache / Garnacha from Spain
#134814 750 mL
2020 Comando G Las Umbrias
Another unique, soulful wine from Comando G that is full of dried herbs, thyme, grapefruit, mineral, wild berries and white pepper. This is also one of the palest in color with an orangey hue, yet super ethereal and nuanced. Tangy and chalky on the palate with a medium body, with great precision and purity. The long, mineral finish goes right into your soul. Drink now or hold.
95 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Slightly darker, deeper and less ethereal on the nose than usual, the 2020 Las UmbrÃas has a lot of grip on the palate and is an earthier vintage of UmbrÃas, not the ethereal wine like the 2018, despite being the year with less alcohol (13.5%). It was a high-yielding year, and they picked the grapes during heavy rain, so they had to dry the grapes with warm air before putting them in the vat. UmbrÃas is possibly their most fragile grand cru, and it suffers under certain conditions. It seems to have suffered a bit in 2020, but it still has the elegance of UmbrÃas, the iron-like sensations from Rozas de Puerto Real and the balance and subtleness in a more earthy way. 2,559 bottles and 40 magnums were filled in March 2022. 2023-2030

2015 Vega Sicilia Unico Tempranillo / Tinto Fino / Tinta Roriz from Spain
#147648 750 mL
2015 Vega Sicilia Unico
98 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Sit back and enjoy this Unico if you are going to open it now. Exotic spices and touches of balsam and cumin come up after the unleashing of blackberries, chocolate, iron, incense and violets. So fine-grained and polished, with a mouthful of velvety tannins that are so cohesive, close-knit and still reactive. Impeccably structured, it’s vertical before going extremely long and linear. A consistent Unico that seduces with a hint of iron-like minerality and rusticity. Drink on release or hold.
98 Ines Salpico - Decanter Magazine
Very whole and round with a generous width on the mid-palate offset by an assertive energy, supported by vivid acid and a well-presented tannic framework. An interesting counterpoint to the more chiseled linearity of the 2014 iteration. With all elements very much in their right place, but fruit still unapologetically punchy, it'll be interesting to see how this evolves as tertiary complexity softens the primary and secondary vividness. Cocoa powder, dry tobacco leaves and seaweed hover over juicy plum, dark cherry and black olive. Very long, spicy finish with lingering tapenade and salty liquorice.
97 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Único comes from a year with a fast ripening, and they had to harvest early to keep the crunchiness of the fruit. This was the first harvest produced 100% by winemaker Gonzalo Iturriaga. The aging was five years in oak, one and a half years in barrels and three and a half years in oak vats. It's a big year, produced with 96% Tinto Fino and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's ripe, with 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.88 and 4.8 grams of acidity. The grapes are cooled down for one day, the bunches are selected and then fermented with a pied de cuve in vats. It's a ripe and concentrated vintage, classical modern Vega Sicilia nose, expressive, aromatic and open, with notes of dark cherries, spice, cigar box and a medium to full-bodied palate with abundant fine-grained tannins, with good balance and the rustic elegance of the best Ribera del Duero. In 2015, they produced 84,184 bottles, 3,645 magnums and some larger formats, less than 2014, which was the largest production of Único ever. It was bottled in May 2021.

The 2024 Chardonnay Willamette Valley wafts up with minty freshness, blending white flowers with nuances of ginger, flint and slate. 95 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The 2024 Pinot Noir Fox Creek Vineyard is a seriously beautiful wine. It emerges from a site in Carmel Valley planted on granitic soils at 1,100 feet in elevation. Dark, layered and resonant, the Fox Creek Pinot is superb. There's gorgeous depth and textural resonance here. Wild cherry, iron, tobacco, menthol, licorice and rose petal build effortlessly through the mid-palate and into the finish. The 100% stems are beautifully woven into the wine's fabric. Superb."

2013 Bertani Amarone Della Valpolicella Blend from Italy
#151643 750 mL
2013 Bertani Amarone Della Valpolicella
"A super, dense core of mixed dried berries, together with notes of caramel and a mix of mild Indian spices, from coriander to mace. Full-bodied with a liqueur-like bead of fruit that’s riding abundant but well-integrated tannins through the long, long finish. Excellent and so fresh. Delicious to drink now, or in your centenary year!"
95 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The Bertani 2013 Amarone della Valpolicella shows a generous and exuberant style initially, with all sorts of black fruits, tar, spice and a hint of saltiness. Yet this vintage is also characterized by a particular strength and power that is expressed with firm tannins and a solid structural backbone that shows best in the cooler vintages such as this. The 2013 offers linear heft and determination and will surely stand up to long bottle evolution."
92 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
"The 2013 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico opens with an intense burst of shaved cedar, dark chocolate and crushed black cherries. This soothes with its silky textures, offset by tart red and black fruits as rosy inner florals form toward the close. Medium in length, it finishes fresher than expected, showing the wiry yet energetic character of the vintage."

92 Billy Norris - Vinous Media
The 2024 Chardonnay (Russian River Valley) really overdelivers. It’s an ideal expression of the Russian River Valley, with all the bright, sunny orchard fruit and spritzy citrus lift you could hope for, but also an extra measure of freshness and juiciness that leaves the mouth watering. Notably restrained, the 2024 shows excellent finesse, especially for an appellation-level bottling.

2024 Telmo Rodriguez Gaba Do Xil O Barreiro
92 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2024 Gaba do Xil O Barreiro comes from a mild year, with enough rain and lower yields because of problems with fungus. The grapes were healthy when they started picking them the third of September. It fermented and matured in stainless steel with lees for four months without going through malolactic acidity. It's pale and young, still a little reductive, faintly balsamic but with a good core and mid-palate with fantastic balance. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.6 and 4.8 grams of acidity. 91,520 bottles produced. It was bottled between March and July 2025.

2021 Casanova Neri Brunello Di Montalcino White Label
98 Luca Gardini - GardiniNotes.com
Long oak wood refinement for the label-symbol of the house project. Dogwood, yellowcurrant and tangerine in olfaction, puffs of chamomile and dehydrated thyme, then juniper. To the juicy and savoury sip, with memories of flowers and red fruits.
95 Audrey Frick - jebdunnuck.com
The 2021 Brunello Di Montalcino comes from a warm but not extreme growing season, helped by timely rain and a normal harvest window. It pours a deep ruby red hue and opens with black raspberries, violets, fresh earth, licorice, and rosemary. Medium to full-bodied, it feels more vertical and energetic than the 2020, with a bright spine of acidity, well-defined tannins, and a long, focused finish that stays light on its feet. Drink 2026-2040.
95 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2021 Brunello di Montalcino is an understated beauty, mixing dusty rose and lavender with shavings of blood orange and black cherries. It is surprisingly juicy yet elegant and refined, as ripe wild berry fruits slowly drench the palate in primary concentration. Structured and dramatically long, the 2021 finishes spicy and intense with nuances of citrus, clove and licorice. The complexity here is off the charts and the energy is incredible.

2019 Paolo Bea Rosso De Veo Umbria Rosso
The 2019 Rosso de Veo is intense, with a burst of dried black cherries, autumnal spices and rubbed sage. This is a dark and brooding vintage for Veo, with depths of ripe red and blue fruit propelled by zesty acidity. Saline minerals saturate, and a primary concentration forms toward the close. It finishes dramatically long and tannic, yet they are round and soft contoured. Licorice and a tart cranberry concentration linger on and on. While labeled as Umbria Rosso, the Rosso de Veo could easily be a Montefalco Sagrantino, filling a happy place in the portfolio that adds a lot of value for lovers of Paolo Bea.
