2023 Domaine Delhome "Alt 330" Crozes Hermitage
94 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
From the Larnage region of this larger appellation, all destemmed and aged mostly in used barrels with just 10% new, the 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Alt. 330 sports a deep ruby hue as well as an impressive nose of ripe red and black berries, peppery herbs, violets, baking spices, and some cured meat-like nuances. It's a rich, medium to full-bodied, concentrated Crozes with ripe, integrated tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. I think it's the clear standout in the lineup here, and while I love it today, I wouldn't be surprised to see it gain complexity with 2-4 years of bottle age and shine over the following decade or more. It's an impressive Crozes Hermitage that I think is even better than the 2022, which is another brilliant wine from this estate. Drink 2028-2038.

98-100 Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Independent
After a little shaking, notes of orange blossoms, fresh grapefruit, and just-ripe pineapple slowly emerge from the glass, followed by hints of fennel seed, wet pebbles, and blanched almonds. The medium-bodied palate is so silky and seamless, melting in your mouth with saline-laced citrus and tropical fruit layers, finishing with epic length and depth. Incredible.
98-99 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Minerally and understated nose, but it’s so pure and bright, showing lots of purity and precision this year. Subtle aromas of seashells, green kiwis, wet stones and meringue follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate. Lots of texture and energy, yet it remains dry and really long. 56.1% semillon and 43.9% sauvignon blanc.
95-97 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2024 Haut-Brion Blanc is seamless and textured in the glass. Silky and creamy in feel, with fabulous balance, Haut-Brion Blanc is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage. Marzipan, chamomile, spice, lemon confit and a kiss of French oak are all beautifully woven together. The long, sustained finish is a thing of beauty.
95-97 Neal Martin - Vinous Media
The 2024 Haut-Brion Blanc also has a reserved bouquet like the La Mission Blanc and demands more encouragement than usual. Eventually, there are lime, gooseberry, crushed stone and mirabelle scents that start to gain intensity after ten minutes. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly more pithy texture. It is quite peppery, with fine grip and hints of green olive toward the persistent finish. This is excellent.
97 Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Honeysuckle, green apples, orange rind, white peach and flower aromatics are easy to spot. Elegant, refined, and fresh, the wine is filled with sweet fruits that gently caress your palate, lingering in the zesty finish. The wine is made from a blend of 56.1% Semillon with 43.9% Sauvignon Blanc. 13.75% ABV., 3.2 pH. Drink from 2027-2042

A blend of Grenache and Syrah brought up in tank, the 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Villages Sainte Cecile Philippe is a beautiful Southern Rhône with tons to love. Revealing a vivid yet translucent ruby, as well as a sweet nose of red and black fruits, peppery garrigue, leather, and some meaty, olive notes, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, terrific mid-palate depth, and a great finish. Drink this classic, complex, utterly satisfying 2022 over the coming 7-8 years. Give it an hour in a decanter if drinking any time soon.

94 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Bright and seductive, this pinot offers fresh cherries, crushed wild berries, violets, wet rocks and subtle spices on the nose. Racy and mouthwatering, with spicy and minerally tension, it has a medium body, a dusty texture to its tannins and a lingering and racy finish. Focused and very precise. Drink or hold.
The 2023 Pinot Noir Cumberland Reserve opens with aromas of raspberry liqueur, mocha, floral perfume, and savory notes of fresh sage. Medium-bodied, it offers ripe, detailed tannins, balanced acidity, and a long finish. While this vintage hints at opulence, the wine remains beautifully balanced and refreshing. It’s a stunning introduction to the vintage and a benchmark for the region as an appellation wine. Drink 2025-2040.

"Red cherry in color and pointedly spicy, this wine has a fine bubble that gives it a zesty feel and creates delicate nuances to the fruit, even though the flavors are concentrated, belying that light and airy mousse. 2020 Il Marroneto Madonna Delle Grazie Brunello Di Montalcino Sangiovese from Italy
#146258 750 mL
2020 Il Marroneto Madonna Delle Grazie Brunello Di Montalcino
99 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
An exquisite mix of elegant aromas dominates the nose, with notes of Parma violets, orange peel, Earl Grey tea, dried cherries, smoky woodland and earthy minerality. Full-bodied, it shows significant tannins, but it’s velvety, sweet and full of aging potential. The flavors are enhanced by energetic, slightly lifted acidity and a super-long, austere finish. It will last for decades. Try after 2025.
98 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The Il Marroneto 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie (tasted once in the winery and again in my office) is another classical expression of Sangiovese from vintner Alessandro Mori and his son Iacopo. This vintage is best described as more charming compared to the stacked 2019 vintage or the powerful 2016 edition. This is a very pretty wine, elegant and finessed, with pretty floral highlights of rose and violet that lean into a subtle menthol note. There is caramelized sugar and candied orange. The wine lives in oak for 46 months with just a brief time in steel before going into bottle (at the end of July 2024). This vintage is a little closed or tight in terms of mouthfeel, which suggests it needs more time in bottle to spread its wings.
98 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The undeniably elegant 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie is amazingly fresh and vibrant on the nose, cascading from the glass with a burst of crushed cherries, rose petals, blood oranges and cloves. This displays exceptional elegance and grace, soothing the palate with its silken feel and ripe red and blue fruits. Hints of sour citrus add contrast, a mix of iron-borne minerals and fine tannins that mount toward the close. A saturation of primary concentration remains, offset by residual acidity as this finishes structured and impossibly long, leaving a sour cherry tinge and masses of violet pastille. The 2020 is a showboat yet complex and harmonious from start to finish. It's easily one of the absolute top wines of the vintage.

2022 Chateau D'yquem Sauternes Blend from France
#146383 750 mL
2022 Chateau D'yquem Sauternes
100 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
A perfect Yquem again after the 2021, which is fresher and more refined than the 2022. The perception of sweetness is super-knit. Lots of botrytis, with turmeric, saffron, cream, roasted meringue, pine nuts, spices and dried mangoes. This is a powerful, seductive and lush wine. Ornamented and richer this year than 2021, but there is so much charm and harmony. Long and spicy, with a hint of petrol at the end. Wow. The second most concentrated Yquem after 1945, according to the winemaker. About 160 grams of residual sugar. So approachable now, but better in five or six years. It will live forever.
100 Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Combining incredible power, sweetness, and opulence with racy acidity and a touch of bitterness on the backend offsetting all the rich, honey-slathered fruits, it takes only a single sniff and sip to discern that this is one of the great vintages produced by Chateau d'Yquem. That says a lot, considering all the fabulous vintages the estate has crafted. The palate showcases its wealth of honeyed fruits alongside Indian spices and a vibrancy found in no other sweet wine. The wine envelops your palate, teeth, and gums leaving you with a zesty finish that lingers for a full 60 seconds and more! This is a legend in the making! Like all great vintages of Chateau d'Yquem, you can enjoy this with pleasure in its youth, with its sweet, ripe fruits showcasing a unique sense of honeyed purity, or you can save it for your grandchildren. Drink from 2027-2100.
98 Neal Martin - Vinous Media
The 2022 Yquem is a blend of 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc with 160 g/L residual sugar and a total acidity of 5.39 g/L. It is the first certified organic vintage for the estate and has the lowest level of total sulphur ever: 234 g/L, high within the sphere of wine but comparatively low for Sauternes. The 2022 was aged for 24 months in new barrels that underwent slightly less drying than those used for red wines in order to retain some green tannins. Given the growing season, the 2022 Yquem has a surprisingly understated bouquet that demands coaxing. Scents of orange pith, passion fruit and quince are exquisitely defined, a hint of chamomile dancing around in the background. The palate is medium-bodied. Given the high level of residual sugar, what is surprising is that the 2022 does not seem a weighty or texturally unctuous Yquem, yet there is an intensity and concentration that is arresting. Vivid flavours of clementine, wild honey, quince and tangerine that effortlessly combine. The acidity almost nonchalantly counters the sensation of residual sugar, so it feels less than it actually is, the scintilla of salinity toward the finish tempting you back for more. This is a marvellous and quite cerebral Yquem for which patience is required.
98 Yohan Castaing - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
A blend of 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2022 d'Yquem is a strong candidate for the title of wine of the vintage. Exhibiting a remarkably delicate, complex and energetic bouquet of rose, confit citrus, exotic fruits and orange marmalade, it's full-bodied, dense and deep with a pristine balance enhanced by a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and beautiful, gastronomic bitterness and dry extracts that segue to a long, ethereal, delicately perfumed and refined finish. Lorenzo Pasquini and his team have perfectly understood the vintage by privileging the third tries, fully exposed to Botrytis cinerea, in the blend, bringing density and precision along with an energetic and splendidly balanced interplay of bitterness and sweetness. Residual sugar levels reach 160 grams per liter, marking it as the second-highest since the iconic 1945 vintage.

2010 Cerbaiona Brunello Di Montalcino Sangiovese from Italy

2010 Cerbaiona Brunello Di Montalcino
100 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is every bit as thrilling as it was on the many occasions I tasted it from barrel. Black cherry, hard candy, plum, rose petal, menthol and lavender saturate the palate in a sumptuous, racy Brunello endowed with magnificent depth and pedigree. An utterly stunning, sensual wine, the 2010 constantly changes in the glass as it conquers all the senses with an exotic kaleidoscope of aromas, flavors and textures. I remember tasting the 2010 from cask a few years ago when Diego Molinari was too unwell to go down to the cellar. Nora Molinari tasked me with essentially serving myself as we went from vintage to vintage and cask to cask. For days after, I was mortified that I might not have closed some of the spigots tightly enough. Fortunately, that was not the case. In all of my years tasting the wines of Montalcino, I have only come across two wines with this level of textural unctuosity and sweetness; Gianfranco Soldera's 1983 Brunello and 1990 Riserva. Cerbaiona's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino will leave readers weak at the knees. It is every bit that profound."
The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is an absolutely distinctive wine and one unlike this producer has ever released. It feels radically different in terms of concentration, intensity and complexity. I was blown away by the beautiful and profound sense of inner harmony on display here. The wine puts on an epic showing of aromas that span from the simple ripe cherry and blackcurrant to the most ethereal tones of balsam herb, root beer and licorice. In between, are hearty aromas of cured tobacco and smoked meat. It really has it all along the entire Sangiovese spectrum. In the mouth, the wine offers similar complexity with thick extraction backed by sweet and sour layers of fruit and tannic structure. If you are looking for outstanding Brunello, look no further. This is one of the top three wines of the vintage. Drink Date: 2017 - 2035
97 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is serious stuff and one powerhouse of a Brunello. Deep, rich, black fruits, roasted herbs, some smoke meat notes, licorice, and loads of spice take some coaxing at first, yet the wine quickly offers loads of fireworks with aeration. This full-bodied, massively concentrated Brunello has ripe tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and awesome length. Give it a decant if drinking any time soon.

This is really complex on the nose with very ripe fruit, yet it turns to white truffles and fresh mushrooms. Some fresh flowers as well. Full-bodied, round and creamy tannins with beautiful fruit and a long, flavorful finish.
91 Wine Spectator
"Shows more freshness-and less of a ripe, syrupy quality-than some of its peers, with a fine balance between juicy currant and tangy black cherry fruit and notes of tar, chocolate shavings and spice box. Features a fresh linen weight instead of the more typical Amarone velvet, and lightly chalky tannins show on the firm finish. AN" (08/11)
