2017 Giuseppe Quintarelli Bandito Passito Bianco "Amabile Del Cere"
94 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
Truly exotic, the Amabile del Cerè tempts the imagination with a wild bouquet of tropical citrus, melon, vanilla bean and confectionary spice. It's silky and seamless on the palate, with juicy acidity guiding stimulating notes of kiwi and tangerine. For all of its depth, this tapers off remarkably fresh yet still long and potent, leaving a staining of dried nectarine and a flourish of sweet, autumnal spices that lingers on and on. Once again, I'm amazed by how Quintarelli has managed to find such balance, as the Amabile del Cerè finishes at 130 grams-per-liter of residual sugar but doesn't come across as sweet or cloying. Well done.

2022 Angelo Negro Roero Arneis Serra Lupini
89 Audrey Frick - jebdunnuck.com
Coming from vines averaging 50 years old, the 2022 Roero Arneis Serra Lupini is the estate’s entry wine and pours a pale straw color. Fresh and herbaceous, with notes of saline, white peach, lime pith, and almond, this is a great alternative for Pinot Grigio drinkers. It’s quaffable and spritely but has a lovely little rounded touch and is for youthful drinking now.

Rare Wine Company Savannah Verdelho Special Reserve
93 Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media
"Medium amber with a green rim. Aromas of burnt orange, tobacco, toffee and herbs, with a hint of potpourri adding an exotic component. Broader and deeper than the Charleston, offering sappy orange marmalade, chestnut honey and toffee flavors underscored by tangy acidity. Shows a sweet, nutty quality on the smoky, gently spicy finish. I like this wine's heft and thrust."

96 Wine Enthusiast
The nose is floral and sweet, but refreshing thanks to clean, balancing aromas of mint and dirt. The palate takes that freshness a step further, to a light, bouncy, almost astringent level. Precocious tannins are young yet dense and supportive, while jubilant acid sings.
94 Wine Review Online
The label says Rosso, but the wine says Brunello. That’s Biondi-Santi for you. Firm, sleek and minerally, this mid-weight Rosso has more elegance and stature than many producers’ bottlings of Brunello. Fine tannins surround tightly coiled power and exquisite austerity. Its profile will not be for everyone — those looking for opulence should look elsewhere. But those who embrace firm, elegant wines with grace and substance will love its beauty. (Michael Apstein)
94 Falstaff Magazine
Clear, bright ruby red with a slightly pale rim. Fine wild red berries, fresh cherries, floral nuances, a touch of tangerine zest. Medium complexity, red currants, fine, ripe tannins, saline minerality on the finish, shows good balance and length.
93 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
Released in June 2023, the medium red 2020 Rosso Di Montalcino is open aromatically already at this stage, revealing notes of ripe red cherries along with a very pretty floral perfume of fresh flowers and wild fresh herbs. Medium-bodied and rounded, with a very elegant feel, sweet, fine tannins, and a pleasing fresh ripeness, it’s a lovely wine with a lot of charm now. It has very clean fruit aromas and profile, with an open feel and a lovely sanguine mineral tone of the finish. This is going to be a Rosso with a wide window of drinking over the coming 8-10 years.
93 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino is simply stunning, lifting from the glass with vivid raspberry and cherry notes complemented by sweet rose, clove and cedar. This model of purity is silky and refined, with a dusty feel to its ripe red berry fruits. Orange notes adds contrast toward the close. It finishes structured and long, still remarkably pure, with a slightly bitter tinge that slowly fades. This fabulous Rosso from Biondi-Santi shows the work done over the past years.
93 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Generous aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries, turning to flowers and stones with some crushed cement. Medium body with firm tannins that fill the mouth, as well as lively acidity and depth of fruit. Savory and almost salty at the end. Drink or hold.

2018 Roagna Barolo La Pira Vecchie Viti
98 Bruce Sanderson - Wine Spectator
Delivers depth and a complex texture, even if this feels a little reserved today. Taut and energetic, with vibrant acidity and dense, velvety tannins framing the cherry, rose hip, wild strawberry and dried herb flavors. Ends with a salty mineral element and chalky feel. Best from 2027 through 2048. 224 cases made.
96 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2018 Barolo Pira Vecchie Viti is hauntingly beautiful. Sweet dried red cherry, mint, sweet pipe tobacco, white pepper, orange peel, cinnamon, spicecake. This ethereal, light to medium-bodied Barolo is incredibly beguiling and distinctive. It's a classic Roagna wine and a fabulous effort in this very challenging year.

2012 Taittinger Blanc De Blancs Comtes De Champagne Chardonnay from France
#136294 750 mL
2012 Taittinger Blanc De Blancs Comtes De Champagne
The 2012 Comtes de Champagne is gorgeous. Warm and resonant in the glass, the 2012 Comtes shows all the allure that makes this vintage so appealing. The combination of bright citrus, mineral and floral notes typical of Comtes, enhanced by the soft contours of the vintage, makes for an inviting, open-knit Champagne that is quite showy right out of the gate. Light tropical accents on the finish add an exotic flair. Usually I recommend cellaring just-released Comtes, but that won’t be necessary here.
96 Wine Spectator
A gorgeous blond bombshell of a Champagne, fragrant with roasted hazelnut, vanilla and smoke notes that waft through layers of poached pear and quince, pastry cream, pain d'épices and candied ginger. This is sculpted by a vibrant acidity that's seamlessly knit to the plush, silky mousse and chalky underpinning. Drink now through 2033. 1,500 cases imported.
Mature and beautifully textured, this magnificent Champagne is just right. The wine's minerality is tempered with acidity and touches of white fruits. This great wine is toasty and balanced, ready to drink. #20 on the Top 100 Cellar Selections 2023
95+ William Kelley - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne is showing beautifully out of the gates, offering up demonstrative aromas of sweet golden orchard fruit, buttery croissants, peach and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and enveloping, it's a rich, textural, vinous Comtes somewhat reminiscent of the brilliant 2002. If it gains in tension and cut (as the 2002 did and as I suspect the 2012 will) with more time on cork, it will make this initial rating seem conservative.
95 Decanter
From the very first whiff, this expresses energy, depth and complexity. Aeration reinforces this impression, while also revealing scents of orchard fruit, like apricot, but also exotic fruit, as well as hazelnut and delicate autolytic notes - pastry in particular. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with satisfying sapidity on the long finish. Five to eight years of further cellaring would be ideal, and even more for aficionados of Champagne with marked bottle maturity.

No tasting note provided "Only every two or three years is a reserve of Port with sufficient structure, fruit and power to age laid aside to age in oak casks. Those that have reached their peak after thirty years are then blended together for balance and finesse, and to ensure consistency of quality and style. The 30 year old tawny is one such wine. The wines are matured in seasoned oak casks in Taylor’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Here the cool and damp coastal climate encourages a slow and gentle ageing process, producing aromas of great complexity and finesse." -Winery

2019 Germano Ettore Barolo Cerretta Nebbiolo from Italy
#137764 750 mL
2019 Germano Ettore Barolo Cerretta
96 Decanter
The style of Ettore Germano has the rare merit to combine traditional equipment such as botti grandi with a contemporary idea of balance, including earlier picking and long yet soft macerations. The balance coming from this structured MGA is amazing. Firstly very reductive, it's focused on mineral tanginess of fresh red currants, citrus, cinnamon, peach skin, Earl Grey tea and liquorice. This complexity is wrapped up in an extremely savoury, soft attack with velvety tannins – sticky, youthful and sweet – and a dusty finish. Refreshing lively acidity is well integrated and completes the framework. Great concentration and potential.

This fortified red blend was aged in wood for 20 years. That has taken away fruitiness and, as with an aged Tawny Port, has given the wine flavors of dried prune, spice and old wood aromas. The wine is for sipping and savoring, ready to drink now. — Roger Voss
