9 OUT OF 10 POINTS... You get bourbon, sherry, and Scotch with this dram. Plenty of sweetness from fruit influence without becoming sour or off-putting. Another dram to delight your friends and doesn’t break the bank. It is deep enough in flavor that you can really sink your teeth into the beefy meat of this without feeling like you can’t appreciate what’s happening due to the complexity. For me, this is a dram that is right where you want it to be as a whiskey amateur. Not a total novice, but maybe you don’t feel quite like a pro yet. Its an excellent bottle.

Created by master distiller Brent Elliott to mark the distillery’s grand reopening, this Bourbon is the first permanent addition to the portfolio since 2006. This is a concentrated sip—even with plenty of water—showing warm, toasty vanilla, sugar cookies and buttery brioche, finishing extra-long and drying, accented by plenty of baking spice. It’s a real lip-smacker. —K.N.

Superbly balanced on the velvety palate, with brittle toffee, stewed fruits, peat, honey, and a hint of coffee. Smoke and more toffee mingle in the long, elegant finish.

A world blend combining malt and grain whiskies from Ireland, Scotland, Japan, Canada, and the U.S., this is a busy, multilayered whisky. The nose has grilled orange, floral notes, fruity hard candy, rose water, fresh-baked bread, an almost yeasty note, wood spice, pastry, and firework smoke. Juicy orange flavors, with smoke, chocolate, cinnamon, peppercorn, and maltiness, then hazelnut, caramel, and ground almond to finish.

Aromas and flavors of pomegranate, cantaloupe, and mango, lemon, green apple, and phyllo dough, pickled ginger, banana bread, and and candied bacon with a fat body and a very long finish with notes of cooked mango rolled in walnut, grilled peaches, cinnamon roll, and banana bread. An incredible example of Irish Whiskey; lush and balanced flavors, extraordinarily well done.
