This steel-fermented wine offers good acidity and refreshing qualities without an excess of buttery, toasty elements from oak barrels. It was aged on the lees for a nuanced, toasty, minerally effect and is generous in tangy apple, pineapple and lime zest flavors. Drink now.

2014 Lopez De Heredia Bosconia Rioja Reserva Blend from Spain

2014 Lopez De Heredia Bosconia Rioja Reserva
95 JoaquÃn Hidalgo - Vinous Media
The 2014 Viña Bosconia is 80% Tempranillo with 10% Garnacha, 5% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo from the El Bosque vineyard in Haro, Rioja. Garnet in hue, it opens with cassis, cola and oak-driven aromas. The palate is youthful and smooth, with well-integrated tannins, black fruit and anisette at the finish. Still growing, it’ll develop greater complexity with more time in bottle.
94+ Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
I loved the nose of the 2014 Viña Bosconia Reserva, a red that sells at an incredible price for the quality, the problem is (like all their wines) finding it... They had to accelerate the harvest to avoid botrytis caused by the abundant rain during the harvest. This is a blend of 80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacho and the remaining 5% Graciano and Mazuelo, fermented in old oak vats with their yeasts and matured in neutral American oak barrels for no less than five years. It's elegant and nuanced, developed but young for its age, with a seamless palate and very fine tannins, with energy and light. It has 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.3 and 6.7 grams of acidity, notable parameters of freshness. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2022.

2020 Ciacci Piccolomini Brunello Di Montalcino Pianrosso
98 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Intense, vibrant aromas of strawberries and raspberries, together with cola and flowery notes. Milk and mint nuances, too. Shows a lot of licorice elegance and blood-orange freshness on both the nose and palate with firm, velvety tannins and well-packed, brilliant acidity and a polished finish. Good aftertaste and amazing potential. Very classic. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
98 Luca Gardini - GardiniNotes.com
Vineyard of the same name, located in the south-eastern quadrant of the appellation, vinified in stainless steel and glass cement tanks, aged in oak, notes of cornflower, then hints of rosemary and caper under salt, salty sip, with return of small fruits and officinal references.
96 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
A bright orange/red color, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino Pianorosso is very pretty on the nose, with notes of pomegranate, roses, potpourri, sweet herbs, and a hint of menthol. Medium-framed, it's elegant and harmonious, with a weightless feel, ripe and chalky tannins, and a clean, balanced finish. I think it will gain depth and complexity as it matures, but it sure is lovely to check in with now. Drink 2026-2046.
96 Raffaele Vecchione - WinesCritic.com
Dark and deep on the nose it shows notes of incense, sandalwood, cumin, black tea leaves, dates, bergamot, cinchona and black pepper. Many shades of pink pepper, juniper berries, sage, bay leaves, ginseng root, chamomile and broom describe the secondary scene. Full body, fresh and balsamic in the sip, it shows perfectly ripe and polymerized tannins and a disarming beauty of sip. How beautiful. Drink now or grow old.
95 Kerin O'Keefe - kerinokeefe.com
Bold and concentrated, the 2020 Pianrosso offers pronounced aromas of dark spice, camphor, dried herb, citrus and wild berry that mingle with new leather. On the powerfully built, savory palate, tightly woven, close-grained tannins envelop liquor-soaked cherry, orange peel, licorice and tobacco before closing on a note recalling almond liqueur. Fresh acidity keeps it lifted. Drink 2029–2036.

Such a fresh and juicy Alsace pinot noir with plenty of strawberries and raspberries. The slight sappiness to the tannins adds to the impression of freshness. As it aerates it gains some earthy complexity on the mid-palate and softens at the end. Still very youthful. Drink now.

2022 Elio Grasso Barolo Ginestra Casa Mate
97 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
Pouring a bright ruby red color, the 2022 Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté reveals a deeper, spicier profile. Notes of dark cherries, fresh tobacco, spiced earth, and gravelly soil reflect the greater clay content of this site. Medium to full-bodied, it moves into another gear on the palate, combining muscular depth with elegance. The tannins are ripe and seamless, and the finish is long and layered with mineral undertones. A superb expression of this vineyard, around 16,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2027-2047.
95 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2022 Barolo Ginestra Casa Matè is terrific. Deeply pitched spice, menthol and pine overtones give the 2022 its characteristic balsamic notes. Pliant and deep, with stunning balance, the Casa Matè is without question one of the wines of the vintage. Polished, silky tannins and a burst of red-toned fruit punctuate the finish. This is sublime stuff.

This young wine is impressively concentrated, tannic and tight at this stage of its development, but it carries the proper amount of dark fruit, dark chocolate and heady oak spices to gain complexity with age. The tannins are full and a bit edgy for current drinking. Best from 2029.

98 Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Independent
"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville explodes with bombastic notes of creme de cassis, black cherry preserves, and boysenberries giving way to nuances of cedar, graphite, and lavender oil. The full-bodied palate is jam packed with intense black and blue fruit layers supported by a solid line of firm grainy tannins and amazing tension, finishing long and with wonderful purity."
97 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
"This is full of aromas of lead pencil, black berries and black currants. Deep and dark. Full to medium body, with juicy and layered tannins and a flavorful finish. Very grapey. Precise and focused. Real Coombsville character. Drinkable and will age beautifully."
97 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, offers tons of nuance and Coombsville character. Savory and wonderfully deep, the 2021 captures all the pedigree of this great vintage. Lavender, crushed rocks, graphite and rose petals all run through this fleshy Cabernet Sauvignon."

91 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2022 Grey GCM Rosé was produced with 70% Garnacha, 15% Cariñena and 15% Mataró or Monastrell from their La RoblerÃa Vineyard in Apalta. It's fresh and light at 12.5% alcohol with an extremely low pH (3.06) and good acidity. It's austere, clean and fresh, balanced and bone dry. It fermented together (the bunches pressed together) and matured in untoasted oval 2,500-liter French oak foudres for six months. A rosé for food. 6,600 bottles produced.
