2021 Best's Great Western Shiraz Bin No. 1 Shiraz from Australia
#150607 750 mL
2021 Best's Great Western Shiraz Bin No. 1
94 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
This is good. A cooler climatic expression that remains distinctly Australian, rather than playing the reductive hand of an ersatz Rhone. An exceptional nose of mace, clove, blue fruits, olive and briar, backed by a wave of beef bouillon and iodine-umami warmth. The tannins, a clatter across the middle, with a bow of dutiful acidity drawn to just the right degree of tension. Some scrubby menthol dries the finish ever so slightly. This said, this is a delicious wine of immense personality and soul. Drink or hold.

2021 Domaine Long Depaquit Chablis Grand Cru "La Moutonne" (Monopole)
91 Neal Martin - Vinous Media
The 2021 Chablis La Moutonne Grand Cru is showing some reduction on the nose, although there seems to be some decent fruit behind it. The palate is well balanced with a fine thread of acidity, lemon zest and a touch of tangerine, lightly spiced towards the finish that fans out nicely. This is a decent effort in a difficult growing season. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.

2022 Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Riesling from Germany
#143583 750 mL
2022 Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese
97 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
"This very concentrated and super-elegant riesling Auslese is still tightly-wound. However, it already has a very wide spectrum of subtle yellow fruit and wild flower aromas. Terrific structure behind the rich, but still medium-bodied palate. Incredibly long, slatey finish with staggering freshness that pulls you back for more of this Mosel masterpiece. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
95 Decanter
"Tangs of cut stone and lime zest are peppered with gunpowder and smoke, but there's a powerful core of ripe lemon, lime and yellow cherry flavours too. While light on its feet, it's an unctuous, supple wine with a pert tangerine sweetness. Quite a bit more expressive in youth than the 2022 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese, it's already hedonistic with a brief decant but certainly ageworthy as well. Alcohol 8.0%. Drinking Window: 2023-2070.
94 Wine Enthusiast
"This is lush, velvety sweet Riesling, but with mouthwatering acidity creating an elegant feel. This delivers flavors of orange blossom, elderberry, fresh quince and candied lime. The vibrant structure imparts focus and length and provides backbone for aging. It finishes with a mineral-inflected aftertaste. Best after 2030."
94 Wine Spectator
Delivering power and concentration, this is densely packed in a compact frame. Opens up to reveal impressively fresh flavors of dried thyme and apricot. This white's acidity shows a crunchy texture, and a wet slate note brings a cooling feel to the finish. This is one for the cellar. Best from 2026 through 2046.
93 Mosel Fine Wines
"The 2022 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese offers a superbly attractive and aromatic nose of pineapple, coconut, melon, yellow flowers, a hint of marzipan, herbs, and juniper, all wrapped in a blanket of smoke. The wine proves superbly creamy and delicately smooth as plenty of finely honeyed and ripe yellow fruits and almond cream join the party. The finish has great presence and intensity in the very long and captivating finish. The aftertaste is engaging and long. 2030-2047.
93 Anne Krebiehl MW - Vinous Media
"The 2022 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Auslese is rather shy. The palate tingles with tangerine, ripe, rounded, aromatic, and full of tangy, zesty, sweet, ripe citrus. Wonderfully expressive on the mid-palate and with a subtle finish, full of those vivid aromatics. (Sweet) Drink: 2025-2050.

2021 Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon from United States
#149706 750 mL
2021 Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder
98 Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com
The finest vintage of this cuvée I've tasted, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is going to be one of the Legendary Mayacamas, although a more modern-day version. Sporting a vivid ruby, mostly opaque hue as well as sensational aromatics of crème de cassis, ripe cherries, graphite, crayon, and cedar pencils, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, flawless overall balance, ultra-fine, ripe, perfect tannins, and a great finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. The balance, purity, and elegance paired with the subtle, inward richness and power is something. I followed this bottle for multiple days, and it was never short of spectacular, with its structure and tannins becoming more evident with air. It's far from the tannic beast that some vintages from this higher elevation terroir on Mount Veeder can be, and it clearly offers immense pleasure even today. Yet, it probably won't hit true prime time for another decade, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this be a 50- to 60-year wine. Bravo. Drink 2030-2080
97 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is fabulous. It's vivid and super-classic to the core, offering up an exotic mélange of dark fruit, espresso, dried herbs, iron, forest floor and incense. The 2021 is a quintessential mountain wine from Mt. Veeder, but there's just enough polish to wrap it all together while avoiding any sense of rusticity.
97 James Molesworth - Wine Spectator
Hints of sweet bay leaf and chaparral offer an alluring lead in, while the core mixes red and black currant and cherry compote notes with tobacco leaf and cast iron, backed by a piercing sanguine hint. The fruit cuts a seriously sharp groove through the long, tannin- and acid-driven finish. Should age at a glacial pace. Best from 2028 through 2045. 2,110 cases made

This Rosé is a rich earthy expression with lots of peach aroma to back up its stoniness. The full bodied palate has fantastic minerality and an everlasting white pepper finish.

A singular blend of 36% Grenache Noir, 28% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre, 9% Tibouren, 2% Syrah, 3% Carignan, 1% Caladoc and 1% Rolle or Vermentino, the 2024 Cotes de Provence Rose Lampe de Meduse reveals aromas of strawberries, pomegranate and iodine. Medium-bodied, bright, supple and juicy, it has a delicate freshness that leads to a long, mouthwatering finish. This would be perfect with Mediterranean food.
