2023 Silverado Vineyards Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
"Soft and supple aromas of black currants, dark chocolate, black olives, potpourri and graphite. The palate is smooth and textural, with firmly framed tannins, bright acidity and a long finish. A lovely blend of 81% cabernet sauvignon with small amounts of the other four Bordeaux varieties. Drink or hold." - Ryan Montgomery

91 Anne Krebiehl MW - Vinous Media
"The 2024 Rosa is a blend of roughly one third each of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent, resulting from free-run juice of the red wine ferments. Year after year, the deep pink color is a joy to behold in this Umathum classic. Juicy strawberry on the nose is supported by a creamy backdrop and citrus overtones. The palate is, as always, fuller, rounder and superbly juicy. This is actually more of a light red in its bearing, its use and its nature, and it simply spells joy with its gastronomic potential. 2021 Altesino Montosoli Brunello Di Montalcino
98 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Dense aromas of red cherries, bark, mushrooms and plums follow through to a medium body with tangy acidity and juicy flavors. It’s very long and quite chunky, with velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Savory and tangy at the end. Drinkable now, but better in three or four years, Try after 2028.
97 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Proprietor Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini has important holdings in this special cru, and if you're after Montosoli, this is one of the best expressions around. Fruit comes from a five-hectare plot with friable galestro soils at a sweet spot perched at 350 meters above sea level. The Altesino 2021 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli flaunts an especially sharp profile with enhanced minerality and focus. There is wild cherry and dried currant, but ultimately more impactful are the elegant aromas of crushed stone. These give the wine brightness and vertical lift. The mouthfeel is medium- to full-bodied in texture with fine, powdery tannins that are well integrated. It is matured in Slavonian oak casks. You can cellar this wine longer, but you can also enjoy it in the medium term to take advantage of that pretty fruit freshness. Production is 12,000 bottles.
