2023 Ramey Woolsey Road Chardonnay Chardonnay from United States
#152207 750 mL
2023 Ramey Woolsey Road Chardonnay
96 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The 2023 Chardonnay Woolsey Road Vineyard is one of the stars in this range from Ramey. Creamy and layered, with superb persistence, the 2023 is a real standout. Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers, mint, white pepper and tangerine peel soar across the palate. All the elements are so well balanced. What a stunner."
95 Erin Brooks - Robert Parker's the Wine Advocate
"The 2023 Chardonnay Woolsey Road Vineyard is exotic and perfumed! Peach, lime custard, lemongrass, pie crust and roasted almond aromas pour from the glass. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and sapid with youthfully flinty flavors. Racy acidity adds tension, and it has a very long finish."

2024 A.J. Adam Dhron Hofberg Riesling Kabinett
93 Anne Krebiehl MW - Vinous Media
The 2024 Riesling Dhroner Hofberg Kabinett is a little closed on the nose, with mere glimpses of lemon and stone. The palate is citrus central. It is juicy, vivid, stony and salty, but brimming with Amalfi lemon-tinged juiciness. What lightness, what joy, what bravura! (Off-dry)

2023 Paitin Barbera D'alba Serra Barbera from Italy
#146156 750 mL
2023 Paitin Barbera D'alba Serra
91 Antonio Galloni - Vinous
The 2023 Barbera d'Alba Serra is a classy, polished wine. Sweet floral notes and silky tannins give the 2023 tons of charm. Rose petals, spice, tobacco and orange peel all come alive in the glass. This vibrant Barbera is a winner.
90 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Showing medium-plus richness, the Paitin 2023 Barbera d'Alba Serra offers the potency of the grape but manages an elegant and streamlined style. It opens to dark fruit, dried blueberry and sweet potting soil. To the palate, the wine is short and to the mark. The 2023 vintage is quite subdued, but that's a quality to appreciate in Barbera.

2023 Raventos I Blanc Brut Blanc De Blancs Conca Del Riu Anoia
92 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2023 Blanc de Blancs has a textbook nose of Mediterranean sparkling with notes of aromatic herbs, dry hay and straw, reflecting the third year of extremely dry conditions in the zone that delivered a small crop that was harvested earlier than ever and resulted in more concentrated wines. It's 50% Xarel.lo, 35% Macabeu, 10% Parellada and 5% Malvasía de Sitges that didn't go through malolactic and refermented and matured in bottle with lees for 18 months. They have access to great grapes (all organic) to produce this wine. It has a vibrant palate with abundant small bubbles and a spark of freshness and is balanced, clean and easy to drink. 200,000 bottles produced. All the bottles have the disgorgement date as a lot number.

2022 Vina Almaviva Puente Alto
99 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
What fabulous perfumed aromas of lavender, blackcurrants, graphite, tapenade and hints of sweet tobacco. So complex and sophisticated. Medium- to full-bodied with tannins that have an incredible finesse and length. It goes on for minutes. It’s all about elegance and class. There’s harmony and freshness for a dry year. Seductive and so long. 72% cabernet sauvignon, 23% carmenere, 4% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. Drinkable now, but one for the cellar. Drink from 2028.
97 Colin Hay - The Drinks Business
Almaviva 2022 (Maipo Valley; 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carménère, 4% Cabernet Franc; 1% Petit Verdot; 15% alcohol). Fascinating and distinctive aromatically, all the more so as it’s a little timid at first. A baked earth path, sun on sand, deep dark berry fruits – mulberries and brambles – and then dark stone fruits – damson and black cherry. Crushed black and red peppercorns and a hint of nutmeg. A massive attack of great intensity, depth and concentration, accentuated by the quite narrow frame, with the staunchly Cabernet tannins really grabbing the fruit from the moment this hits the tongue, pulling and massaging it back to the spine and releasing little plumes of juicy freshness like ripples as they do so. Quite sunny in feel (‘solaire’ as the French would say) and spicier than the 2021, this is a real vin de garde. Very impressive once again.”
96 Matthew Luczy - Robert Parkers The Wine Advocate
“The 2022 Almaviva leads with a brooding, woody nose with savory, roasted pepper aromas and pleasing top notes of lavender and dried herbs. The palate is dense, luscious and staining, with considerable concentration and opulence. The finish continues this lush, layered opulence, concluding with supple, firm, unyielding tannins, welcomely braced with fresh acidity and herbal, methol-tinged flourishes. Despite its immediate richness, this is quite wound up, and it will take a few years to integrate its formidable tannins further. But it should be a joy to watch develop over the coming decade and beyond. It's a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carménère, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot aged for 20 months in 70% new French oak.”
