A brooding bruiser. What this lacks in finesse it makes up for with sheer power, offering deep and dark blackberry, sandalwood and licorice flavors that build toward broad-shouldered tannins. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre, Carignane and Grenache. Best after 2021. 435 cases made. — TF

Product Description:

Owned by Leslie Rudd, Edge Hill is one of the most historic properties in all of Napa Valley. ne of the first vineyards planted in 1867, it is one of the oldest vineyards in the US. After some time being dormant, it was revitalized and is now at the top of the list in the region making some incredible wines.

This red blend is a mix of a few different grapes but is mostly Zinfandel. All the grapes are very dark in nature which is why it is called Mixed Black.

It is a full-bodied, fruit-forward style that has the structure to hold up in the cellar for many years.
