Product Description:

"Intense, juicy and jammy, our classic Zinfandel’s bright raspberry and blackberry fruit is complemented by the characteristic black pepper spice tones that give the varietal its invigorating zestiness. This Dry Creek Valley Zin is the quintessential Folie à Deux wine – i.e., it will impel you to dance and share a bottle with friends, probably simultaneously!

Located northwest of the northern Sonoma town of Healdsburg, Dry Creek Valley is one of California’s smallest appellations (just 16 miles long and two miles wide). During the 1870s, it was discovered by Italian immigrants, who were reminded of the hills of their native Tuscany and Piedmont. They planted Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Carignane grapes on Dry Creek’s benchlands to emulate the hearty red wines to which they were accustomed, often interplanting those varieties and creating ‘field- blended’ wines. The Dry Creek Valley’s warm summer days, tempered by morning fog from the Pacific Ocean, and its well-drained, stony soils, are made to order for Zinfandel. As a result, California’s signature red reaches its pinnacle of quality in this heralded, Mediterranean-style region." -Winery
