The 2022 Verdicchio di Matelica lifts from the glass with a gorgeous blend of chamomile, lime zest and crushed nectarine. It’s round and soft-textured with a salty spike of minerality up front, further enhanced by brisk acidity as tart orchard fruits cascade across the palate. The 2022 tapers off crisp, refreshing and quite saline in character, leaving the mouth-watering as hints of sour melon fade.
