The 2011 'Viña Pedrosa' Ribera del Duero, Gran Reserva displays an inpressive inky and opaque color. As this slowly begins to open it reveals inviting aromas of milk chocolate, roasted fig and dark cherry liquor. Silky smooth on the mid-palate, flavors of black olive, black tea and mocha resonate from its core. Stunning and showing an incredible combination of tension and weight, this is shaping up beautifully and should continue to cellar well over the course of the next decade and even beyond.
