"This archival offer is a collection of the Bodega's best vintages direct from their cellar in Haro, Rioja. Pre-dating Prado Enea , the Gran Reserva is comprised of the most intensive selection from the estate's five vineyard sites and the oldest vines of their cosecheros. The last vintage of Gran Reserva exported to the U.S. market was 1989. Muga Gran Reserva is fermented and aged in a mixture of American and French oak with minimum 36 months in both barrel and bottle prior to commercial release. Less than 3% of each vintage would be reserved for archival aging so quantities of these older vintages are extremely rare." -Importer
