This is a rare bottle to be appellated from this region—most are not due to restrictive labeling laws. The aromas are brooding, with notes of black pepper, smoked meat, dark fruit and spice. Ripe, full bodied dark fruit flavors follow. It's all about hedonism. The appellation isn't as expressive as it normally is, but it's delicious all the same.
