"This Sauvignon Blanc opens to aromatics of gooseberries, grapefruit and exotic fruits that are laced with an underlying herbal character. The palate is fresh, vibrant and bursting with racy acidity, while remaining beautifully balanced and vibrant throughout."
Product Description:
When coming up with an answer to the question, "Where is the best Sauvignon Blanc grown?", there are very few arguments against the Loire Valley. Home to the great wines of Sancerre. Unfortunately though, Sancerre has gone up in price, and finding a good value is difficult.
However, if you head a couple appellations west, you will find the area of Touraine, a place most known for their Sauvignon Blancs and rich limestone soils (sound familiar?). These wines have very similar flavors and aromas to Sancerre at a fraction of the price.
For those of you who have that one single bottle of Sauvignon Blanc you go back to over and over again .... this is the time to change. This is the time to reach for something different!
The nose offers up aromas of nettle, lemon rind and a hint of yellow plum, while the medium-bodied palate is dry and mineral and refreshing.
