"The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Eisele Vineyard represents a departure from previous editions, as the current team is seeking a style of Sauvignon built on phenolic intensity, energy and tension, all elements that will be new to readers who drink the estate's Sauvignon Blanc on a regular basis. Among other things, the Sauvignon now spends more time in the cellar than it used to. Hints of lime, citrus and white flowers add nuance on the saline-infused finish. It will be interesting to see how this intriguing white develops in bottle. The 2013 was done 65% in stainless steel, 20% in oak and 15% in concrete eggs."
