The 2023 Chianti Colli Senesi is terrific. In fact, the 2023 is one of the best recent editions I can remember tasting. The purity of the fruit is very fine, while the wilder side of the Colli Senesi is tempered at the same time. Crushed flowers meld into a core of bright, red-toned fruit. Hints of cedar, leather and sweet pipe tobacco build into the refreshing finish. Terrific.
