100% Sangiovese – “Brunello in Barrique” – the same grapes that make La Gerla’s incredible Brunello and Brunello Riserva are used to make Birba. With the use of French barrique instead of large 100HL Slovenian barrels, Alberto Passeri is able to make a younger, softer sangiovese that you can drink younger and that is full of soft fruits with elegant tannins.
