About

Ratings:

91

The 2019 ‘Pomontino’ is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Sagrantino that offers inviting aromas and flavors of raspberries and cherries which come together with spices, cigar box and hints of licorice. The medium body gets support from the fine-grained tannins. It displays notable balance through the finish.

90 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com

A pleasant, fresh young red with clean red-berry and cherry character and a light herbal note. Medium body, tight tannins and a firm, more savory finish. Slightly dry at the end. Drink now.

Product Description:

Pomontino is a 80/20 blend of Sangiovese and Sagrantino. The Sangiovese provides bright fruit and acidity while the touch of Sagrantino brings dark color and a grippy finish. This is a remarkably well-balanced wine that is ready to drink immediately but will also last a handful of years in the cellar.

It's often difficult to find an Italian gem like this for under $20 and we are extremely excited about this one! The perfect pizza wine or "pop & pour" weeknight wine, this is the opportunity to stock up!
