"The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino (with 20,000 bottles produced) has mild intensity and reaches a good point of balance. There is ripe plum and blackberry fruit, but background aromas of toasted spice, grilled herb and crushed stone add more dimension. I rather like those playful accents of dried mint and cherry cola. The fruit is on the dry side, but there is some nice primary intensity to behold."
Product Description:
The Tenimenti Ricci Estate located in Sant’Angelo is one of the older and more traditional rural establishments in this area of Brunello production. Ferruccio Ricci and his sister Ida, who manage the estate, are deeply rooted in family traditions and Montalcino winemaking, but with a modern and youthful approach. The cellar has been recently restored and equipped with temperature conditioning rooms perfect for vinification and barrel aging. Their vineyards cover about 12 hectares of some of the most sought-after areas of Montalcino.
