100% Roditis (an indigenous variety whose skin has a lovely pink color) from unique vineyards situated on the mountainous slopes of Aigialeia region in northern Peloponnese, at an altitude of 840 meters (2755 feet) above sea level facing the Corinthian gulf. The soils are mainly sandy loam and sandy clay loam on a bedrock of cohesive conglomerates with sands. The yields are never above 80hl/ha. Their various advantages (north facing aspect, overlooking at the sea, high altitude, well-drained slopes and mountains-barriers that protect them from the hot summer winds) are the most critical factors for high quality fruit. The grapes are harvested in small crates at the end of October and transported to the gravity fed winery. After a light pressing, they are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, while a part of them undergo a pre-fermentation cold maceration.
Bouquet of fresh and exotic fruits with pleasant notes of citrus on a background of mineral notes. Fine acidity and freshness that balances the rich body of Roditis. Goes well with a variety of Mediterranean dishes.
