"A classic late harvest wine with rich, multi-layered aromas and a wonderful balance between ripe fruit sweetness and refined acidity. The Oberhäuser Brücke vineyard is our monopole site, situated directly on the river. The subsoil consists of primary rock, clay slate overlaid with loess loam. Its location on the valley floor provides a perfect microclimate for developing exceptional late-harvest wines with residual sweetness. Cool air flows into the valley at night, and during the day it doesn't stay as warm as on the steep slopes. This allows the grapes to develop more slowly, preserving their natural, tangy acidity, which is ideal for creating an incomparably elegant interplay with the residual sweetness of this world-class late-harvest wine. Here, vibrant and exceptionally characterful wines of global renown are produced. The Brücke Riesling Spätlese presents itself with precision and vibrancy, exhibiting subtle flinty nuances on the nose. On the palate, it reveals a magnificent mineral complexity and an invigorating, piquant Spätlese character. Its crystal-clear, laser-sharp acidity, consistently balanced and ripe, lends the Spätlese exceptional vitality and stimulating energy, as if electrical impulses were flowing through this wine. The grapes are selectively hand-harvested, free of botrytis, and then gently pressed. Winemaking takes place in 1250-liter stainless steel tanks. This preserves the razor-sharp acidity, allowing the wine to develop into a world-renowned late harvest wine over time.
