94+Stephan Reinhardt - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
From vines about 50 years old, the 2022 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese opens with a pure, crystalline and beautifully aromatic bouquet of ripe and lush, pretty tropical fruit aromas intertwined with lemon zests and broken slate. Round and saline on the palate, with ripe and playful, very elegant acidity, this is a mouth-filling, crystalline and saline Spätlese with very delicate phenolic grip and excellent aging potential. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023.
