"100% Primitivo from 15-25 years old vineyards in Manduria, most planted with the “alberello” (small bush) system and thus hand-tended and harvested. Fermented in temp-controlled stainless steel tanks with 1 week of maceration with the skins, and aged 6 months in large oak casks. Released on the market after additional 6 months of bottle aging.

Lirica is Produttori’s most important Primitivo di Manduria DOC. The centerpiece of their production is considered a benchmark in the category and in Puglia’s winemaking.

Deep ruby red, with dark garnet hues. It offers the classic aromas of Primitivo: riper dark cherries, plum and raspberries, with a touch of toast and spice. Warm and juicy on the palate, it finishes dry and well balanced, with fine tannins framing a delicious note of ripe red berries. Recommended with grilled sausages and medium-ripe cheeses, it makes the ideal companion for roasted or braised beef “au jus”." - Importer
