"Based on the 2015 vintage, complemented by some 35% solera-aged reserve wines, the latest rendition of Philipponnat's NV Brut Royale Réserve was disgorged in September 2019 with eight grams per liter dosage. Offering up a lovely bouquet of golden orchard fruit, fresh peach, blanched almonds and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and complete, with a generous core of fruit, chalky structuring extract, and an elegant pinpoint mousse. While this Royale Réserve is already quite demonstrative, it will be even better with some bottle age."
