“ La Belouse ” is a locality in the town of Cruzille where we cultivate two plots ( Chardonnay and Pinot Noir ). Very widespread in the Mâconnais with different spellings (Les Beluses, la Belouge, les Beluges) this name designates each time a land made of blue marls which appear when ploughing. This marl or clay, which retains humidity and freshness, is well suited to growing vines by allowing the roots to draw the water necessary for its development and the ripening of the grapes. It is the singularity of this terroir and the wines obtained that gave us the idea of differentiating these cuvées.
