The 2021 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is sourced from Freestone-Occidental and Petaluma Gap sub-regions and utilized 33% whole cluster fermentation. It offers savory notes of wild herbs, cinnamon, and dried cranberry, and the palate is dry and medium-bodied, with a subtly angular tannin structure and dried raspberry, black tea, and turned earth. A lovely wine to accompany simple roast chicken or duck at the table, drink it over the next 5-6 years.
"We have built Ernest Vineyards on a number of key concepts. Beyond our commitment to integrity, restraint, and beauty, we are most passionately committed to sourcing our varietals from carefully selected vineyards around Sonoma County. Picking and choosing our vineyard sites allows us to hold out for the very best grapes we can find. We then use those grapes to make the wine we want to make."- Winery
