The stony parcels of deep-soiled vineyards producing Mercurey go up to an altitude of 350 metres. The deep and fine reds are dark in colour with garnet tinges. They have characteristic aromas of red fruits with leather and game undertones. The wines of Mercurey have body, substance, bouquet, finesse and distinction. Decant or hide a few for enjoyment later.
This is a very old family domain that can trace its roots back to 1671. Michel Sarrazin has been succeeded here by his sons Jean-Yves and Guy.
