A much more reserved nose requires aggressive swirling to slowly reveal the somber if nicely complex aromas of black cherry, poached plum and crushed anise. There is very good volume to the rich, opulent and plush medium-bodied flavors that, in true Temperance Hill style, display excellent power on the robust and lingering built-to-age finish that also exhibits a touch of warmth. This is not a refined wine but if power pinot is in your sweet spot, this would be a good choice.
