2015 David Duband Bourgogne Rouge
Medium to full bodied with fine, light tannins. This might be one of the best vintages yet of this "base" Pinot Noir ... although it is hard to say that about this. The fruit for the Bourgogne Rouge comes from vines in the communes of Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis. David admires the winemaking style of Dujac, Rousseau and Clos des Lambrays and sees wine as a product for consumption rather than one for speculation. He believes that his chief responsibility is to make a wine that the consumer will take pleasure in drinking. David Duband is truly a rising star in Burgundy and offers drinkers an opportunity to taste wines from an unparalleled variety of terroirs all crafted with care by the same vigneron.
