"Gary Farrell is the hand behind the new Alysian label, and the wines predictably sport the restraint and refinement that have traditionally been Mr. Farrell's forte. This rich, but decidedly lively, bottling displays ample red-cherry fruit and is deftly highlighted throughout with creamy oak. While it is arguably just a touch tight at the finish, its firmness in no way implies thinness, and there is real potential for four or five years of very positive growth."
