This Slavonian oak-aged Barbaresco from Canova in Neive is produced classically with a long 25-day maceration after fermentation. It has a vibrant, light and leafy nose with mintiness over strawberry and cherry fruits. It's supple on the palate, with a dusty texture of Nebbiolo tannins. Still rugged, it is savoury, a bit wild yet persistent - a bit ungainly maybe but multifaceted, showing depth and complexity. For the long haul.
