Château Gantonnet is nestled amidst the vineyards, where women and men dedicate themselves to its terroir, striving to best reveal its unique identity. An intense and elegant expression, precise, aromatic, and delicious wines. Nestled between the Garonne and Dordogne valleys lies the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region. On one side, the left bank of the Bordeaux wine region, encompassing the Médoc, Graves, and Sauternes appellations; on the other, the right bank with Blaye & Bourg and the Libournais. At its heart lies Château Gantonnet, located 20 km from Saint-Émilion, in the small Gironde village of Sainte-Radegonde. Sixty kilometers further on is Bordeaux, a city with a rich historical and cultural heritage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A 19th-century legacy
Built during this period, Château Gantonnet has belonged to the Richard family since 1962. Keen to understand and enhance this terroir, with its diverse geology blending earth and stone and its excellent exposure, she designed a new cellar, large enough to offer ample storage capacity and well-equipped to allow for vinification plot by plot. The result is a precise blend, reflecting the unique character of the estate's terroir. It is the clay-limestone soils, blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, that give Château Gantonnet its flagship wine. A blend of concentration and freshness, deliciously fruity. The noble meaning of simplicity, in Bordeaux.
This wine boasts a deep red color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe black berries, such as blackberry and blueberry. On the palate, it displays a beautiful breadth, offering a velvety and silky texture. The whole is enhanced by a remarkable balance between freshness and roundness, with a harmonious structure that extends into a persistent and flavorful finish.
