The 2019 Brentino (Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon) bursts from the glass with raspberry preserves offset by cloves and hints of leather. It’s enveloping on the palate, with masses of ripe berries, juicy acids and minerals, tapering off rosy and with a tug of sweet tannins.

Product Description:

"A Bordeaux-inspired blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (usually 55% and 45% respectively) harvested manually from estate vineyards and fermented in temp-controlled stain-less steel with regular punch-downs. The two wines are aged separately for 1 year, 50% in stain-less steel and 50% in French barriques, and then blended and aged in bottle for several months before release.

A über-classic Bordeaux blend, elegant and juicy at the same time, and offering aromas of ripe berry and cherry, followed by notes of fresh spices and light toast. Finishes dry, with balanced acidity and firm tannins. Perfect for pastas with wild boar ragout, or roasted game." -Importer
