"An estate on the west side of the Pomerol terrace at Moulinet, the property takes its name from its location and the
name of Pierre Lasserre, the owner in the 1940s and grandfather of current owner Jean-Marie Garde, who took over
in 1982.
The terroir here is not as rich in clay as some parts, with a sandier, more gravelly component, and these warmer soils
helps in the ripening of the grapes. 70% of the vineyard is planted with merlot, 20% with cabernet franc and 5%
cabernet sauvignon. The wines are aged in 25% new oak and are bottled after fining but without filtration..." Importer
