91 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The pale, aromatic and floral red 2022 Ca'n Verdura Negre was produced with a blend of 44% Mantonegro, 31% Merlot, 11% Callet, 10% Syrah, 3% Monastrell and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon with a moderate 13.5% alcohol for a very warm and dry year. It's expressive, clean and with some complexity, with Mediterranean touches and a balsamic and herbal hint. Only half of the volume matured in used 500-liter barrels for five months. Very pleasant. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April and May 2023.
