LA IGRIEGA is born from a family project, from many paths traveled, from changes and discoveries, but above all from dreams to achieve. ​ Marcelo Goldberg, with a recognized track record in the textile industry creating brands such as Vitamina and Uma, found in Paraje Altamira the ideal geography on which he would begin to build his family legacy. Nicolas Goldberg, his eldest son, is the one who today is in charge of continuing to expand that vision and transmitting that legacy to the generations to come. More than 10 years after its first steps, LA IGRIEGA stopped being a project and became a reality. LA IGRIEGA represents a way of living, of working the land, of giving the best to represent in each bottle of wine, an identity, and a place in the world. In 2006 Marcelo found the ideal place in the "heart" of Paraje Altamira, Valle de Uco. There, where stones were found, and the right to the water brought by the melting of the Andes Mountains, he decided to plant 25 hectares of Malbec. And this is how the FINCA was born. Through the years LA IGRIEGA becomes a producer of high quality grapes, and after 2011 starts to make "singlevineyard wines" out of this Malbec grapes. With deep respect for the land, LA IGRIEGA works carefully the vineyard to achieve grapes that represent and reflect the characteristics and identity of the "Terroir".
