La Comarcal is a collaboration between two winemaking friends: Javi Revert and Victor Marqués. Located in the mountainous village of Venta del Moro in western Valencia, La Comarcal (“The District”) was founded in 2017 with the goal of making delicious, youthful wines—new expressions of native varieties grown in impressive old mountain vineyards. All La Comarcal wines are farmed with certified organic viticulture and vinified with native yeasts. Grapes for Delmoro Tinto come from vineyards near the village of Venta del Moro, planted between 15 and 50 years ago. A 4ha single-vineyard called Paraje Guindal, planted in 1987, contributes the garnacha that makes up 80% of the blend. Bush-trained, old-vine syrah makes up the remainder. Delmoro Tinto is a Mediterranean red with great freshness and balance, and afruit-driven, approachable palate perfect for just about any food pairing.
