The 2022 Cros de Romet has a rocking nose of leather, lavender, and smoky red and black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, round, expressive, and sexy on the palate, with some bloody notes, it’s based on 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. This impressive Cairanne will drink beautifully for 8-10 years.
Product Description:
Cros de Romet is the passion project project for Alain Boisson, younger brother to Bruno Boisson and member of Domaine Boisson since the late 1990’s. Cros de Romet’s first vintage was in 2003. With a pure focus in mind Alain makes the one wine, Cairanne Rouge. With Alain being a big history buff, his symbol of the bottle is the Templar Cross. Back in the 1300’s, the village of Cairanne was an outpost for the Knight’s Templar.
