In 1905, the Vic family took over a 13th century chateau and created Domaine Preignes le Vieux. This historic vineyard is located in Languedoc, France on the old remains of ancient Rome. The current winemaker, Jerome Vic, discovered his passion for wine in quite an unusual way. His father would send him out to work in the vineyards as a punishment, but little did his father know this would cultivate a life long interest for Jerome. The vineyard's microclimate provides sunshine and breezy air with volcanic and clay soils that all come together to help nourish the grapes. This red blend is 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Cinsault. All of these varietals come together to give a wonderfully juicy red wine with hints of herb and spice. Pair this one with braised lamb shanks or a roast chicken
